18 - 24 month recession, the worst since WWII, should make the mid-term elections interesting. I think the Republicans need to get back on FISCAL conservative message and not worry about completely re-inventing itself.

I told you guyz on Election Day that the Liberal Pundits were already recalling Obama's Promise and Pledge to 100% Fix the Economy.

Not even 2 Hours after the Polls had opened, the Talking Heads were telling People to "Not expect too much from Obama" and "Too dial it way back and dumb it down regarding he Economy, because Obama WAS NOT going to be able to deliver on his promises due to the fact that after taking another look at the Situation, it was just too bad for him to do much about".

Obama didn't seem to think so for 22 Months of Campaigning .....

I guess in 22 Months, he only looked at the State of the Economy "1 Time" and didn't look again until the morning of the Election.

I just watched the Vid's and this guy is pure Pessimistic Doom & Gloom !!!!

I don't know if he wants a Communistic Approach made at this issue or if he is a Level Headed Realist .... I mean he had NOTHING good at all to offer on any of the combined issues that are causing this total meltdown.

If he is right, then I need to go to my bank tomorrow and take my goodies home before the doors close on it for ever.

I hope this guy is just one of those real Left Fringe Socialist that wants, as he said, a "Nationalized Financial System" and is just spouting off to be heard. It did sound like he was "Posting His Resume`" for the Bi'Raq Brigade

What is to worry about here, is they know it. ALready they are comparing Obama to FDR and talking about a "new new Deal"

that "new new Deal" will include a brand new "Bill of Rights" that includes "Economic Rights" which FDR floated and is insane. Its what Western Europe has(i.e. Socialism). If it passes, we and the rest of the world are done for. Plan for a revolution at that point.

Some economist are actually predicting that by 2012 we'll be worried about being able to buy food(if we can find it), the whole house of cards will collapse so much by then. The Dems solution is Keynsian Economics, what we've had the last couple years except on steroids. We'll all be getting wealth redistribution(err Stimulus checks) next year, it'll lead to Stagflation at best.

Unchecked??? IF they thought Bush policies were that bad, It's called a filibuster and the Democrats could have used it from 2000 - 2006 but I guess they wanted the country to go in the crapper so they could win in 2008.

First I am only quoting from Mr. Roubini's economic outlook. Second I'm merely stating if his outlook is correct that the Republicans should stop their hand wringing and refocus on the message that will get them in power AND get the country out of this mess. Finally after the CRAP Democrats said about Republicans and the US military's failure in Iraq and their poor code of conduct, Iraq was a lost war no way to win or stabilize the country so the Iraqi government can assume full control then yes I'll say I told you so when the Tax and Spend policies the Democrats fail again with Obama as the did with Carter.

What do you expect a trickle down my leg economist to say? THat the reverse can work and helping the lower and middle classes can increase consumer spending thus creating more jobs? He would be out of a job at Faux Business Channel.
