2007 was the year the media was suppose to 'vet" obama. the Rev. Wright story was out there for over a year before it made it into the news, and by that point it was too late.
If not for the media's love affair with Obama, Hillary would be POTUS right now and she probably would've won by double digits with the same financial crisis happening at same time had occurred.
McCain did play it too nice, partly out of fear of being labeled a racist by the media though is my guess. Either way it was idiotic if he wanted to be POTUS

The GOP lost...Its time for you guys to move on. It was over from day one and you ALL know it. Palin was shot in the dark that missed. Speaking as an independent voter...it was the difference in my vote. I didn't vote for either parties candidate..but I was leaning GOP until she was announced. Im not the only one. Still...It would have made no difference.
