I think Lieberman shows exactly what can happen if the dems go that route.

Then a few purple states could elect some centrists.
We'd have three real parties, with the centrists quite likely holding the balance of power.
That would be the best case of all.

+1...Nothing would make me happier(with the exception of secession). With a 3rd of the electorate claiming that they are "independent" voters. The right candidate could make a mess of things. Of course...the system is so stacked by the 2 existing gangs that it is almost impossible for a new gang take turf. I have need for any of these gangs...I would like to see the system be thrown into total chaos though. A real good shake up would do the country good.05-stirthepot
