Of course and I give them a lot of credit for that. For what UCONN has accomplished in the D1A for what? In 6 years it is pretty amazing.
Amount of crap UCONN fans got from UL fans before this year's game was amazing. Too bad those fans don't play the game on the field.

SF Husky Wrote:Maize Wrote:Learn your history SF, our Last title was in the field of 64. Also last I checked we finished ahead of you the last two basketball seasons. BTW, go to 8 Final Fours before you attempt any smack on Louisville Basketball. UConn is still new money in basketball, The Ville is old money. Been there, done that.
Now to football, win a BIG EAST title OUTRIGHT before you talk smack.
More Ville trash talking. Please, we all know who the better basketball program is right now.
Now its OUTRIGHT? What's next? We have to win on a Thursday Night at 2 AM or it won't count? I guess the trophy sitting at the trophy case right now is fake.
Really, last rankings I checked Louisville is considered one of the Top 8 programs odf All Time andf UConn isn't. Do it over decades and then come back to us. Hell we even have a more recent Final Four then the Huskies.

I did not give UConn crap for last year game or this year game. UConn won and the only thing UConn fans need to say is scoreboard.
As for basketball overall we have been the better team and we went much further then UConn. We also return 8 of our top 10 scorers from an Elite 8 team and only UNC can match that and we add 2 Rivals.com Top 15 prospects in Terrence Jennings and the USA Today HSPOY Samardo Samuels. Lets just say after 2 back to back 2nd place BIG EAST finishes I like our chances to win it outright this year and to make our 9th Final Four appearance.

I'll accept a tough road loss in January that toughens my team for an Elite 8 run. We may not have been a San Diego, but who is!
Exactlly, we improved from our 2 point road loss. UConn it seems did not.
If Fields is healthy I am more worried about Pitt then I am of UConn. They actually won the BET and made it out of the 1st round of the NCAAs.
I am not discounting the Huskies. It's just that his attitude is always good for a laugh. If you didn't take a look at the roster and just listened to what he says, you'd think UConn has Garnett, Pierce, Kobe, and LeBron returning for them this season. Don't forget Peyton Manning, Moss, and A. Peterson on their football team! Why do the rest of us even bother showing up for games against them?
Considering some of the UL fans are the total jackasses who always like to trash talk, I would say look in the mirror first buddy.
We all root for our favorite team here. Nothing wrong with that.
However, I think most of us that post here do it for a change of pace from our home team boards, where such opinions are common place. It's refreshing that most of us on this board realize our school doesn't trot out the '72 Dolphins onto the field or the '87 Lakers onto the court every season.
