They did not look too good. Really, Louisville is very fortunate to even win this game. The turnovers was the difference. But hey, a win is a win no matter how ugly.

This was a tough game for UL. It's October, so the team is naturally focusing on the big conference games, and to have to travel the road to a non-conference, quasi-rival, and one with a chip on its shoulder, trying to maybe show it belongs on a bigger stage, is not an ideal circumstance.

So even granting that UL got a bit of luck in the form of 2 special teams TDs, it's still a very respectable win.

a win is a win and it's a rivalry game, but i just felt a heck of a lot better about the louisville game. krapthorpe is not the answer, but most louisville fans know that by now.

Wow, do I feel lucky! We had no business winning that game. Memphis outplayed us in almost every aspect and the stats will show that. Memphis is not a bad team, they just have crazy breakdowns at the wrong time. They should be at 5-2. But to borrow a phrase from my UCons friends, good teams find ways to win, even if it's ugly. I'll take a win and hope for drastic improvement on our other road games.

Nice game Tigers! I loved renewing the rivalry. I hope that it is able to continue. You guys have a lot of talent on the team. I can't believe we couldn't move the ball on ya'll, especially on the ground. The better team tonight didn't win the game. Good luck the rest of the season. I hope you win'em all.

The BE officials have traditionally sucked. However this year they have been much improved. The reason the call wansn't reversed was due to the angle of the camera. I'll have to admit, I thought he got close, but was short. I'm going with the ref on this one, but of course, I am biased. Good call!

I read about some questionable spots on other boards, and all I could think was: they must be BE refs.

UofL was given a big gift by Memphis. They should get down on their knees to give their thanks. If it hadn't been for all the Tigger mistakes, the Cards would've gotten stomped...

I know all Memphis fans are upset about this game. They had the better team. But they didn't execute properly and came out on the short end of the stick... 03-banghead

I'm still scratching my head about not kicking a FG when you're down 7 with 6 minutes to play and it's 4th and 3. Good road win for the Cardinals.

I wasn't talking about Louisville's execution, even though some have voted for it. I was talking about Memphis execution, and holding onto the football is one way to execute better. There are others I can think of, but won't since you're sticking your head into the sand. Memphis did play better than the Cards in that game, except for all the turnovers. I doubt you could call the return their fault, since that was all on Guy - and the blocking.

Any win is a good win. Even ugly ones. You got the "W", so what's with all the complaints?... 01-wingedeagle

One was corrected by the replay booth. The other was a case of 6 players all bunched up together. If you are at ground level watching it in real time, it is a lot harder to call than if you have an elevated camera angle with the ability to rewind. I think we can agree the call was bad, but I doubt you have any knowledge of intent to claim the fix was in.

That easy to say when the calls go your way, sit on the other side of the fence & watch season after season, game after game calls take you out. Judgement calls should be 50-50, not 80-20. Now I don't believe Ref purpusly throw flags to influnce games. But I do believe who signs there paycheck & human nature cloud some judgement calls.

Are you still rambling about your BCS out to get non-BCS theory? Give it a rest already. How do you explain the alleged bad call in the UConn/Temple game last year? Last I checked, it was the MAC signing those checks. Even if a Big East replay crew called for a replay the referees could have still stuck by their call. So explain that. Unless your new theory is that the BCS is paying off MAC officials.

No real complaint, bit, just a tad disturbed that UL got outplayed on O and then a ? call or 2. I'm glad w/ the win, but am concerned w/ the future...
