And the winner is....
McCain won the first debate if you go by most online commentary. Two said Obama won, Seven McCain, even NBC's liberal Chuck Todd aka Toad said it was a draw. No one said it was an impressive or decisive win that would change the polls.

I'm starting to think McCain is following the Bob Dole formula, Barry is now ahead in NC, running 1 minute commercials on every station almost hourly. Barry is back in NC Sunday for a rally with Biden. McCain is running no commercials hear and neither he or Palin have any scheduled campaign appearances. McCain must win NC to have a chance at winning the election. I honestly think without an October surprise McCain is likely to lose. The economic crisis has really tilted things to Obama.

Nothing impressive on either side. Id give the old guy a slight edge..but..I saw nothing that would sway votes from the other side or independents. Nothing really new here. This was not a debate. This was just a continuation of campaign ads.

I say just go ahead and vote next week. Unless you have been living a damn cave(and you wont be voting anyway) the likely voters know who they are going to vote for.

This cant be over fast enough for me, cause I know it really wont matter ..We are F'd anyway.

McCain won on points, but not til the end. He was losing at the half. Obama did fine seeing as this was a foreign policy debate, and he looked credible. Nobody caught the mistakes made. Iran's army is the revolutionary guard, not the republican guard. Secretary of State is Condi Rice, not Bob Gates.
