78% B*llSh*t! I just listened to Richard Shelby of Alabama. He's got input from over 200 economists, he say that we should wait. No plan is better than a bad plan. If the market starts to tank then we can do something urgently.

RE: Rebel says he doesnt believe in polls.
Quote:Only 11% in the poll taken Wednesday night say Congress should take no action to ease the current credit crisis, which Bush has said could lead to a panic. Fifty-six percent of respondents say Congress should pass a plan that's different from the administration's proposal, while 22% want lawmakers to approve a plan similar to Bush's proposal to allow the Treasury Department to buy up to $700 billion in distressed assets from financial institutions.
Easy now people, only 22% favor a plan similar to the current proposal. The other 56% want something completely different. The 78% is for people who want the government to do something.

No, this poll is probably spot on. There has been so much talk about it, that everyone (78%) think it is a good idea. However, just like the war in Iraq, if the plan doesn't work to perfection, then 78% will be against it and were against it from the beginning. This is just another example of how wishy-washy and stupid the American people as a whole are.

Americans are so stupid. Most don't understand the economics banking, finance or the stock market. We demanded banks to give loans to people who never should have qualified for loans and now america's chickens are coming home to roost.

McCain-Palin should cancel all debates and reject the bailout and tell the liberal media to kiss it where the sun don't shine. If america wants OBama, Barney Frank, Dodd and Harry Reid socialism, then let them wreck the country. That will teach the stupid american public for electing a socialist government. I saw the Georgia President on Glen Beck and that guy should be running our country. That my friends is a good leader and president who understands capitalism. All the Democrats and the media have done this week is attack McCain and Palin.

RE: Rebel says he doesnt believe in polls.
The bailout was Bush and his people's (Cheney, Paulson, Bernecke) idea. They're the ones pushing the bailout on national TV.

I listened to Rush Limbaugh and he actually made a bit of sense today for a change. Instead of just attacking Obama and praising McCain, he thought about the bailout's possible conclusion - that the government may see a return on its investment down the road. And that he'd prefer to see a conservative president in the White House when that happens instead of Obama who he said would use that surplus to fund his various programs he's pushing.

I think the timing is wrong however. If the USA sees a return on that $700 billion, it's likely to be decades before a profit is seen. Or at least more than 4-8 years. But regardless, I thought it was interesting, Limbaugh didn't want to talk about McCain skipping the debate but instead chose to focus on how he felt voters should be connecting the bailout to November's elections.

If your demi-god wasn't attacking the Democrats, then maybe you can learn from Rush and at least tone down the attack too. I'm sure you can find plenty of things to attack democrats or the media on, but they're on the right side of this argument. McCain and the Republicans are the ones who don't want to side with Bush.

No, and according to the poll only 2 out of 10 do. The other six want the government to do something, just not what is currently proposed.
