More Fun with the Bridge to Nowhere
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/23/b...index.html
Quote:Both Biden and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama voted to kill a Senate amendment that would have diverted federal funding for the bridge to repair a Louisiana span badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina, Senate records show.
Well that was a good call. Nice job fellas.

Quote:The final version passed the Senate 93-1. Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who has made his opposition to congressional "pork-barrel" spending a cornerstone of his campaign, did not vote on either the Coburn amendment or the final bill.
That's the kind of leadership this country needs. I thought Obama was the one who never voted.

I know I should stop being surprised by the depths our politicians constantly stoop to, but what can I say, I'm an optimist.

According to the article CNN makes Biden look like a much bigger boob than I thought he was.

This looks like the typical way our government steals from us...by including wasteful spending into necessary spending bills. These clowns dont even read the damn things most of the time.

If you think your robber should READ the bills that they sign....goto: Downsize DC.org One of their main pushes is a "Read the bills act" This site is pretty sweet. You can email your thieves from this site and get "DC Dispatches" when stupid crap is coming before the thugs for a vote. Their goal is to be able to email 100k per issue to our overlords in hopes to influence them to listen to their surfs.
