Pitt's AD announced today that they are at 41,000 season tix. 7,000 are student tix. Last year they sold 30,000 total including students. There are 3,000 student tix still available.

that doesn't include club seats and corporate sponsored seats. Which is about another 10k. 50k+ is impressive for pitt, but their prices are probably the lowest in the bcs. And thats tickets sold, doesn;t mean we'll show up!

41,000. Wow - that is great. All of the preseason hype and press must be helping, plus the win over WVU last season.

I think Pitt has turned the corner and will be a force this year. It certainly helps the Big East to have Pitt return to a high level.

But I really want the Bearcats to beat them.

Wow! I thought they said Pitt people don’t give a damn about the Panthers.

Very well done, to all the Pitt contingent 04-bow

RE: Pitt Season Tickets
well i own 4 of the 41000... and Tiger-Paul is right don't include the 10,000 in club seats.

But the part that disturbs me is the lackluster students not buying tickets. still way too many needs to be bought up.

Shannon, what is the story behind tearing down Pitt's on campus stadium?
I remember watching many games on TV and that stadium seemed pretty nice. Was it too old to renovate?

RE: Pitt Season Tickets
You have to know this one fact about Pitt fans; they are very much fair weather fans. Pitt is predicted to contend for The BEast's BCS bid, or so everyone says. If they win, the stadium will get fuller and fuller as the season progresses. If they lose a game or 2 early, it will dwindle.

Fact of life, dude... :coffee2:
