6-2 should be the minimum this week. Four games against FCS teams would leave 2-2 against the FBS and two of those games are against non-AQ teams.

I actually won’t be happy unless it’s 7-1.

Worst case, NU over SU. But, if they’re the surprise team Tex Mark claims, maybe they’ll beat NU.

As much as I hate to say it, Louisville-Kentucky is a major tossup and will easily be the toughest game for the BE this week. Most Card fans will tell you that last year was a fluke but we will soon find out.

Just saw that Rutgers plays Fresno St. Make that the 2 toughest games of the week.

I cant imagine Cuse beating NW. Outside of that i think we can win 7 games. The Louisville vs Kentucky game will be a toss up, suprised thats a week 1 game. Fresno could suprise but Rutgers has no business losing that game.

If anyone loses, I figure it'll be Syracuse. But even the Orange should be able to beat Northwestern. The Cards ain't going to lose to Kentucky twice in a row, especially not at Papa John's.

I wouldn't be surprised to see The BEast start out 8-0.

The game that could be the big surprise though is the Pitt-Bowling Green game. BGU QB Tyler Sheehan is pretty good, and the Falcons won the MAC East last season. They should win it again this year, and if Pitt ain't ready, the Wannstedt factor could hit big time.

BG lost their OC to Northwestern...color BG a question mark. Pitt should not lose to BG.

Pitt should not lose to BGU. I agree. But Pitt very well might, since they've got Dave Wannstedt... :coffee2:

Watch out for Fresno people. I think they are the best nonBCS team and might make a run for a BCS bust. I'm not saying they will beat Rutgers but just might. I call that game a toss-up.

Forget Fresno. They've got a history of choking in upset games they're predicted to win... 05-nono

Pitt's DL will be in the BG backfield so fast they'll be taking the handoff.

I hope you're right, SP. But I'm not a fan of Wannstedt, and I think he'll prove me right by not having the Panthers properly prepared... 03-banghead

We'll see who's right shortly. Good Luck, and I really do mean it. I prefer to see Pitt do well. It makes beating y'all so much more sweet... 05-mafia

However, I expect the worst from Wanny and he's never proven me wrong thus far... 04-cheers

I agree. I've been hearing for years how Pitt is finally going to turn it around, and, well.... we're still waiting. Maybe this will be the year. But Bowling Green is a dangerous team, and if Pitt doesn't play well they could easily go down like they did to Ohio U. a couple years back.

I compiled a spreadsheet featuring all the games on National TV (and Local in so far as the NY area goes) on Google Documents. I do this every year for friends to get them psyched up for the season since unlike us addicts they need a little urging. Any rate here it is for your perusal: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=p...yb7DuwGIHw

Hey Brista, that spreadsheet is really nice. I just printed it out. Feel free to do one every week if you would like.02-13-banana

Thanks.
