OT: Bubba Burgers
Are they any good?

Just wondering if anyone has used them for your tailgates?

Yes, Bubba Burgers are good. They are nice to tailgate with because they are frozen and easy to pack.

For the record, they are a step up from most frozen burgers. You pay more for a bubba burger, too.

Of course, if you have a great butcher near by, a fresh burger (not frozen) with good meat is still the best.

Its a frozen burger.

Burgers at Tailgates should only be made with FRESH GROUND CHUCK! (nothing leaner as the taste goes out when more of the fat is taken away).

Frozen burgers?

Only for emergencies (i.e. during Hurricanes/power failures...as something to grill up quick).

I know fresh is better but sometimes logistics makes it easier to use frozen. Just wondering if the taste of a Bubba Burger was okay?

To be honest I never really cared for the taste of bubba burgers...I only bought them a couple times.

They taste fine. Of course not as good as a fresh burger, but for a frozen burger its pretty good. Just dress'em up with Dale's seasoning.

How do you work it in? You pour it on after they cook? while they cook?

Dale's Seasoning

Since you've got to make a ton of them, pouring over while cooking is probably the best way to go. Just let the seasoning form a little layer over the burger and let it sit. All you got to do is make sure you don't flip 'em too often and add the seasoning every time you flip.
