RE: FOOTBALL GUESSTIMATION & CHAMP
Army.

You have Louisville losing to Memphis, Rutgers and Pitt but beating WVU and USF. Plus you have Memphis going 11-1. They were 7-6 last year and lost to Florida Atlantic 44-27.

Oh, I get it. This is like fantasy football.
Well here's my prediction.

Syracuse 12-0 and national champions taking out LSU, USC and Georgia in a plus-1-1-and then they play a promotional against Superbowl champs NY Giants and stomp the Giants 83-0. And oh yea, Coach Robinson get's elected president of the U.S.A. through write-in votes. "I am honored," he says but he turns down the job to coach the Cuse for another year. And oh yea, Jessica Alba calls and asks me to father her next child- and I do mean the old fashioned way.

LOUISVILLE
9-3 (5-2)
W Kentucky
W TN Tech
W Kansas St.
W UConn
L Memphis
W MTSU
W USF
W Syracuse
L Pitt
W Cincinnati
W WVU
L Rutgers
Well, for starters... Louisville ain't going to go 9-3. The Cards ain't going to go 5-2 in conference play either. I figure around 6-6 (7-5 if y'all beat UConn @home) again for Krag's 2nd season.

LOUISVILLE 6-6 (2-5)
W Kentucky (toss up, but home field should win out)
W TN Tech (big win)
W Kansas St. (toss up, but home field should win out)
L UConn (toss up, but it depends on the D)
L @Memphis (toss up, but home field won't win this time)
W MTSU (good win - not too big a point spread)
L USF (UofL doesn't come close to winning this game)
W @Syracuse (Grob effect - no more needs to be said)
W @Pitt (may lose, but the Wanny effect kicks in)
L Cincinnati (may win, but I figure the streak ends here)
L WVU (not even close)
L @Rutgers (may be close, but I doubt it)

Until I see more from the Cards than I have, I can't see them doing any better than that. The best I see for UofL is 7-5, if y'all can beat UConn at home. But it will depend on whether or not your defense shows up for that game. If UConn's offense is running efficiently, UofL loses. It's that simple.

RE: FOOTBALL GUESSTIMATION & CHAMP
army I usually respect your opinions.. but I think Mary jane treated you very good when you came up with those. First you have memphis far over rated.. they do have a schedule for a good year but not that good. 8-4. ECU isn't going to beat all 4 BCS teams on its schedule.. They should be favored against Nc state, and have a pretty legit chance of upsetting either VA or VA tech. I also doubt they go 7-1 in cusa.. So I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say 9-3. UCF will win something they shouldnt.. the Knights should have the best Defense in CUSA.. and the offense will likely struggle esp early... My guess is 7-5 or 8-4. I think Louisville is more likely to go 7-5 or at best 8-4.. they are a year away.. I think Pitt could be the sleeper in the group.. and go 10-2 they have the talent.. its a question of can wanny stay out of the way. my guess is no one goes better than 10-2 in BE this year.. you have to many schools that are good.. and no one that is vastly superior to the rest. Cusa champ..TULSA , BE champ WV.

RE: FOOTBALL GUESSTIMATION & CHAMP
The teams are so close it's really really really hard to nail something down......

-WVA: Seems like the easy pick but new coach and you guys lost a lot on defense.
-UC: Lot of good players back but question marks at running game and qb (could be good, could be bad....we just don't know).
-Pitt: TON of talent but as of yet has not put it together...
-UCONN: returns most everybody but people keep saying they are slow and predictions are not favorable. Seems like a solid team with good running game that doesn't beat themselves.
-USF: Lot of good players, have been in the lime light but haven't put it all together yet either...just flashes. Do have good tests with KU and Auburn for testing. Lost a LOT in defensive backfield.
-Rutgers: Shiano is a great coach, Teel/Underwood/Britt are lethal but Rice is gone. Could be great, and then again, could be another 7-5 type team.
-UofL: Probably not going to do anything.....but then again, you never know. I would guess a dangerous .500 type team.
-Cuse: most likely going to suck.

Really I think based on these very brief descriptions anybody but Cuse "could" win the BE with the most likely suspects coming from: WVA, UC, USF, UCONN, Pitt, and RU.

RE: FOOTBALL GUESSTIMATION & CHAMP
Only reason I picked WVU is they've had our number, and matched up very well with us over the past three years. They have an inexperienced defense that will be playing well at the end of the year (i.e. when it's time for us to play them). It'll be a horse race all the way though.
