Yeah 03-lmfao Firmbizzle’s not wrong about the Delta thing – it would make for an efficient, non-stop flight out of Cincy. However, commercial air flights out of Cincinnati really squeeze the departing locals.

Firmbizzle, I’d love to see Cincy and BYU lock horns OOC someday. My sister lives in SLC. I can make a trip out of it.

No dude......look BYU, Utah, Boise State etc. are NOT going to be part of the Big EAst or any new conference the 8 current football playing members of the Big East might form in the near or later future...it's just not going to happen.

If Utah or Boise State etc. ever get into a BCS conference it would most likely be the PAC10.....you know, the one that's already at least in their general vacinity.

Side note: Delta Airlines...after losing BILLIONS of $$$$$ is slashing their fall schedule (especially at hubs) big time this year.

Delta will cut about 100 flights a day from their Cincinnati schedule as compared to last fall.

http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll.../807100302

Delta is slashing about 40% of all their flights out of Orlando (major tourist market which means low fares, especially trying to compete with #1 Southwest at OIA/MCO), and more cuts at Salt Lake and Boston.

Flying to football games will cost more for plenty of folks this year...but most diehard fans will still make the sacrifice to follow their team on the road.

firmbizzle Wrote:How about adding:
1.) Memphis
2.) UCF
3.) ECU
4.) BYU or TCU

The Big East should adopt the same policy as the Big 10 for future expansion: limiting expansion candidates to schools located in the same states, or states which are contiguous with existing member states. Note that Tennessee is contiguous with Kentucky and ECU is contiguous with Tennessee. Makes more geographical sense - especially in light of increased travel costs.
