And yet the WAC has finished behind the MWC the last 2 years in in the BC$ power rating. Which is around $750,000 difference each year in in their BC$ check. Granted the WAC has got the $6 million each year, but of that Boise St got $4.5 million in 2006-07 and Hawaii got the same in 2007-08.

From '90 to '95, TCU had more wins, better atten & bigger TV market than the other expansion schools. In hindsight They struggled in '96, but did beat Okla. In '97 they were horriable. In '98 they were 6-5 & beat USC in Sun bowl. Finshed up 8-4 & 10-2.

TCU didn't only beat USC in that bowl, but they essentially embarrased them as TCU was 6-5 in the WAC and USC was 8-3 in the PAC 10. IMO that was one of the most important games in TCU football history as it pretty much put TCU football back on the map. The Frog D held USC to -23 yards on the ground, likely the last time for a long time that anyone holds USC to that kind of number.

Great notes, didn't notice that. Still, they didn't arrive until that Sun Bowl game I mentioned and the other poster did. That was the huge upset that turned people onto TCU football.
