Yes, this was part of the deal when BE got the St Pete Bowl. I am a bit surprised that Navy is part of it though.

What does not make sense with the Navy mention is that, if the Midshipmen are eligible this season, they are contractually obligated to play against the ACC in the Washington DC Congressional Bowl.

Maybe the Navy stuff only applies to 2009 when the Washington DC Congressional Bowl contract calls for Army to play against the ACC. I can't see the new game letting Navy go to Texas this year.

The MAC, in case somebody wonders, can only play in the Washington DC Congressional Bowl if either Army/Navy or the ACC representative is ineligible. At that point a MAC squad is invited to dance.

The Tex bowl was lousy bowl game for BE, compared to what. Birmingham, Toronto or El Paso or do you prefer Gator with 6-6 ND. St Pete not out of the box yet.

The Texas Bowl is lousy compared to any bowl game in the nation. Let Temple to the game, if they can win enough games to get there.

Yeah baby I'll take it, who could Temple play. Hous would work, I wonder if Roxanne is still in Hous. With her brains [Rice student] & her money [go-go dancer] we could go places.

The Gator Bowl would not be allowed to take a 6-6 Notre Dame team. Notre Dame would have to have a 2 game better record then a Big East team. So the only way the Gator bowl could take a 6-6 Notre Dame team is if our second best team finishes with a 7-5 record. I'd rather have the Birmingham, Tire, Toronto and St Pete Bowl then the Texas Bowl where we might only get it once every four years, having to share it with C-USA and Navy.

That's a beating you would be willing to take? I'll call 'er up. She likes those kinds of adventures.
