RE: Besides Your Own Team, What Team do You root For The Most?
Lets see. I pull for all the BEast teams except Notre Shame. I pull for whoever is playing UK Mildcats. I pull for Memphis, ECU, Texas A&M, Tulsa, S. Miss, N.M. State, Idaho, Montana, UMass, FAU, WKU, used to for Marshall but not so much any more, Boise St., and Oregon.

Now THERE is a sentiment I can relate to. MOUNTAINEERFAN64 Wrote:bitcruncher Wrote:I always root for WVU. No doubt about that. I root for the rest of the conference football schools after that.
Non-football schools are rooted for or against directly related to how it effects the Mountaineers prospects.
BINGO! We have a winner! Couldn't have said it better!
You know how it is... gmta

In Football the Michigan Wolverines and any Big East Football team playing OOC against anyone outside of the Wolverines-(sorry WVU fan I know how much you probably hate Michigan right now). If you look at my screen name you could have probably figured that out, Maize-(n-Blue).

I typically follow coaches more than teams.
I like Frank Beamer. I like Frank Solich. Steve Spurrier. Texas, Oklahoma, Maryland, etc... I like a lot of coaches and their teams.
In basketball, I like Bob Huggins, Roy Williams, Coach K, Pitino, Calapari...
In many ways, the coaches and players dictate passion.
When Nebraska hired Callahan, I, a lifetime fan of the Cornhuskers, had a difficult time connecting with him. I do think Pelini is the real deal.

Football
Miami Fl- grew up in Florida been a Cane fan for my entire life
UL- Gotta love Brohm
USC- Call me a badwagoner but Ray Malugua (Sp?) is a beast, loved watching them slaughter Illinois, McKnight will be a stud
WVU- Gotta love White and Devine running the spread
Basketball
UL- its a C-USA thing
Memphis- The Bearcats of old, gotta love Joey Dorsey
UConn- Idk why but I just really like UConn's program, UC and UConn have that bad boy image, same with Memphis...

All of them when playing other conferences but Syracuse more then the others. They would be followed by Pitt and then Connecticut.
