Wow! I'd take that final poll, with USF ahead of WVU, of course

I'm sure Louisville, Rutgers, and Syracuse were considered as well, but not everyone can be in the Top 25.

....I can't help but feel as though I've forgotten a team. Didn't we have another team that was ranked at the end of the season and returns almost everybody? I would figure they would get some respect....nah, must be my imagination, that team doesn't exist :domokun:

Cincy would be considered

I figure UC got left off because Mauk didn't get the extra year of eligibility.

Mauk will be missed but we have an All-American high school recruit Demertious Jones, with a year here on the scout team from Notre Dame and Grutza is a proven adequate starter. We also have five to six other QB's stock piled. I really do not think QB will be an area of trouble for UC.

I'm numb to it anymore Preseason polls aren't worth the cyberspace their stored on. I am glad that somebody recognizes the league's depth though. 4 teams is impressive.

Frankly, I think all polls are jokes. But you're right, jose. The recognition is nice.

Those polls are great if your team in on one. Cincy finished 14-18 in the RPI based indexes (sagarin was #14?). It is nice to recognize Pitt's talent but I would be hesitant to rank them as on of the best #25 teams in the country until they prove it on the field. I am surprised to see UConn and Pitt ahead of Cincy in any poll, although any team can win the Big East next year.
