The officiating in the UConn-WVU game wasn't any better.

What happened to the great CUSE team? C'mon guys, UCONN fans need to feel good when we beat you guys. Man how did you lose this game? CUSE got to win the next few if you guys want any chance of getting into the NCAA.
WVU I believe is in. They are a good team. Unfortunately they ran into UCONN today but they should win the next few. Pitt is actually better now that Fields is back.

It was sloppy play by Syracuse, added officially approved mugging. Both sides mugged each other. Whoever lost would have had a legitimate gripe.
Same as at Storrs. Although it's hard to beat UConn when they shoot 60% from 3-point range..

I couldn't agree more, Tex. If a team doesn't want the refs to "decide" a game, it shouldn't be blowing leads and, thus, putting the refs in such a position.

RE: Big East officials 82, SU 77
If anyone saw this game, then in my opinion, there is no way to blame the officials for this loss. Its only sour grapes.
The team was up by 11 points with about three minutes left. My son tells me, "dad, it looks like we are going to win this one." I told him its not over with yet and that I have seen some crazy things happen before that will cause a team to lose a game. Sure enough, no sooner than I say this, Boeheim tells the players to run the clock. They were killing Pitt by playing their game. Pitt had no answers, until Cuse started to run the clock.
Why would you start running out the clock with 3 minutes left and only up by 11 points? It took the kids out of their game, and they lost their momentum. Then in the last 70 seconds all of the turnovers started. It was bad coaching in the last 3 minutes and poor execution on behalf of the players that caused Cuse to lose this game. This team should not have been in a postion to have the refs make some tough calls at the end of the game.
Boeheim does not make many boneheaded decisions like today, but he did today. He was playing not to lose. This game reminded me of the 1987 championship game that they lost to Indiana in the last minute after dominating for most of the game.

X2
When your team is playing that well, you don't call off the dogs. Stay with the game plan and they win by 10+

That is 5 in a row for Pitt at the Dome. They just like playing there. But since I didn't see the game, I have no comment.
