For all the athleticism a team can have, games still come down to the fundamentals. Brick city on the charity stripe down the stretch for Memphis.

Is Bruce Pearl finished groping Erin Andrews yet?

UT beat us on the boards. I HATE to lose this game, but all I care about is going 6-0.

Heck of a great day of college basketball. The Bracket Buster games were great all day despite getting so little coverage.

I can tell that you enjoy this. The fact that you stopped by our board convinces me.

We lost to the #2 team in the country in the last 30 seconds of the game. It was our first loss of the season. We should still be a #1 seed. So be it. UT deserved the win.

Best quote from last nights game...and Bruce Pearl was the lucky recipient of it:

Erin Andrews: "Thanks for having me!"

Win a #1 vs #2 game as Coach...get to ask out Erin Andrews for a private soiree on national TV!

That, more than anything else - including the missed free throws, is why Tennessee won the game. How many 2nd chance buckets did each team get? UT doubled Memphis in that statistical category. If Memphis could have stayed with the Vols on the boards, it wouldn't have been close.

Tennessee wasn't a bad team to lose to. But the game shouldn't have come down to a case of free throw shooting.

The fans got their money's worth. That's for sure. Even if they were paying an arm and a leg. 04-cheers

...as I wrote last week, Memphis is a very good team that would have at least 2 or 3 losses if the played in the BigEast, ACC or SEC.

With that said, I still can't get over the athleticism both teams had on the floor last night. Great game!

That was a very entertaining game, one that certainly lived up to the hype.
