From the Blog....

January 21, 2008

You can't get anywhere in downtown Atlanta today. Streets blocked off. Traffic re-routed. No, it wasn't because of a MLK Day Parade.. it was because the "Circus" was in town......

Just like the Wellstone "Funeral" that turned into a liberal Democrat “Pep Rally," today's "Circus" at the Ebenezer Baptist Church was nothing of a "Memorial" to a great man-Martin Luther King- as it was more of a photo op so Presidential candidates can pander to the "civil rights" liberals...

First out of the gate was Atlanta's latest in a list of quasi-criminal mayors... the soon to be indicted Shirley Franklin....

Franklin, an Obama backer, made a not-so-subtle pitch for Obama's candidacy from the pulpit right in front former President Bill Clinton.

"We are at the cusp of turning the impossible into reality," Franklin said. "Yes, this is reality, not a fantasy, or a fairy tale."

While the largely black liberal crowd stood up and erupted in applause, Bill Clinton sat with his hands clasped in front of him. As you know, Slickster has been criticized in the "black community" for casting aspects of Obama's candidacy as "a fairy tale."

(As opposed to an Obama Presidency, which of course would be a nightmare)

Franklin never mentioned Obama by name but noted that, "Georgia is on the mind of the next President of the United States."

She went on to mention that a Mormon, a former first lady and Baptist minister were among those in the presidential crowd who could make history. "And even, ladies and gentlemen, a black man," the Mayor said again to loud applause.

Not to be outdone was the Slickster.. proving once again that he has the best speechwriters money can buy.

Clinton told the liberal congregation that he appointed more black officials in his administration than all other previous Presidents combined... "not because of me, but because of the influence of Martin Luther King in my life."

"He freed us all to fight the civil rights battle, to fight the poverty battle, to fight all these battles and do it together." Slickster said, "He made a place at the table for all of us. He made the beloved community possible."

Clinton also graphically described that he remembered where he was and in what chair he sat when he listened to MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech....

"I wouldn't be doing any of this, I don't think, if I hadn't sat in a chair 45 years ago, in a little town in Arkansas, in a middle class house and heard Martin Luther King say he had a dream and I could be a part of it," Clinton said.

Ironically, Clinton used the same tone of voice and hand gestures as he did almost 10 years ago in the " I.. Did... Not..Have... Sex.. With ... That... Woman...." Interview.

It was SOOOOO sincere....

Clinton also said he remembered where he was on that April night in 1968 when King was killed in Memphis.

"I remember what street I was driving on in Washington D.C.," Clinton said. "I kept thinking to myself, 'What am I supposed to do now?'"

Hopefully the future President either continued to drive in a straight line or safely came to a full and complete stop, but with Slick Willy, you never know for sure.

Capping off the festivities was the "Huckster"... former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who lost what little respect I had for him by pandering to the liberals.

Huckster was invited to the Circus by Alveda King, niece of MLK. Fittingly, the Huckster sat in the same front pew as the Slickster, with King Family members sitting between them. There were some cautious glances exchanged between the two... Here is the video...

By the way, what kind of Religious/Church Memorial Service starts with the "National Anthem"???

I can't remember any.

But political rallies DO start
that way……

As a Republican, I am presently in pain and turmoil. John McCain is the Republican “front runner.” But, honestly, WTF is the difference between Hillary and McCain?? There isn't much in my book.

But I do have faith. And I wont be voting for Romney, the Huckster, or John McCain- the illegal alien's best "amigo"...

Maybe I need to get another "Draft Dick Cheney 2008" bumper sticker for my SUV.. (the last one was torn off)

The Conservatives are “up the creek without a candidate”….
