Frankly, I'm stunned. Just a few weeks ago, people were saying the WAC was going to be a one bid conference again. But strong finishes by Utah State and Nevada both get them into the tournament!
Hawaii is the 7th seed overall in the tournament and opens against Texas State.
Utah State opens at the 4th seed, Arizona.
Nevada opens at the 5th seed, Stanford.
Ok, USU and Nevada look like they're being sacrificed, but still a pretty good year for WAC Volleyball, we've struggled to get 2 teams into the tourney in past years.
Good luck to everyone!

I still think NMSU was deserving of a bid. Not to put down Nevada or anything but I thought we were better. When I saw the WAC got 3 teams in I thought Hawaii, Utah State, and NMSU.
Still it was a great volleyball season and I hope all 3 WAC teams go deep into the tourney.
Looks like the NMSU girls will come back next year with a chip on their shoulders. We only had 1 senior this year so next year looks promising.

- Actually Arizona is travelling to Utah to play Utah State, so the Aggies will have a shot.
- Nevada has to be the one of the surprise at-large bid. But the Wolf Pack played an extremely difficult OOC schedule and I think their AD is on the selection committee. :)

NMSU is an awesome team. I also feel that they should be in the tourney. I won't knock Nevada because they're also deserving and they're tough year-in-and-year-out. They and Hawaii have had many epic wars.
With three in the tourney, all this says is the WAC is becoming a "power" in woman's V-ball.
Next year, I hope 4 WAC teams are in the tourney.

IMO, NMSU definitely deserved an invite. However, the selection committee has a well established history of rewarding tough scheduling, and NMSU played a much softer OOC schedule than the three teams that were invited.

Yeah I was a big surprised to hear about Nevada getting a big and thought hearing that WAC was a four bid conference.
However it should be interesting to see how things lay out and NEvada did play a hard OOC schedule.

Yeah the WAC could and maybe should have had 4 teams in this year. Why did Kansas go with a record of 15-14 and 7-12 in the Big 12 and NMSU gets left out?
What is up with Kansas?
