..The weather was great, actually on the warm side catching me and my friends by surprise, but luckily everyone had some lighter gear to wear. It was in the low 80's. I havent been to L.A. for many many years. It is quite ugly. Too much a concrete jungle for me. I live in the foothills above Fresno, about 40 minutes from yosemite,so just used to the trees, I guess. ( not saying Fresno is paradise)Lots of do around the Coliseum though, museums, science centers. the hotel we stayed at was 3 miles from stadium, and we were about 6hrs early so parking was no problem. Fresno fans got some good tailgating spots getting there early. seeing as there was 20,000+ I never felt really out numbered, or intimidated. I was passing a bulldog every 5 feet or so.
Got to see the fresno bulldog edition truck from GMC and Ford, very sweet. if you havent heard about these trucks, they are tricked out ,from the bulldog emblems on the side of vehicle, to the middle of the rim, "go bulldogs" pin stripping bulldog face stitched in head of all seats, bulldog steering wheel, comes with a top notch accessory bar-b-q, I'm talking microwave, lil frig, grill, drawers, and sink. Then when done you fold it up and slide it back in bed of truck. These are done by dealer so it looks professional and sweet.
They didnt sale beer at the stadium, You just think that every stadium sales alcohol, when you come from fresno, But they didnt ,propbably the reason we didnt hear too many rude comments. They did applaude the Bulldogs as they left the field. Awesome game! HOW CLOSE WERE WE!!, man we gave up 500yrds to bush and 4 turnovers and were still in it until the last 90 seconds. We went to win not to play close. Good showing though ,gets alot of respect, and prevents a let down against Nevada, a game that is crucial to Fresno's path to the WAC championship. Too much leadership to let them get out of hand. Time to savor USC and now to move on and get a great game plan for UNR. This was just a drop in the bucket from the trip, but didnt want to do a 3 pager.
