The biggest disappointment, so far, has to be La Tech. They lost to Yale and Nebraska. They're undersized and playing with 3-4 forwards in the post.
Here's what's killing 'em:
vs Yale 46.2FG% and 29.4FT%, resulting in a loss. If they make 2 more freethrows, they win.
vs Longwood 53.7FG% and 66.7FT%, resulting in a win.
vs Nebraska 36.5FG% and 60FT% resulting in a loss. If they shoot a better percentage and/or make 4 more freethrows, they win.

It's a little early in the season for these rankings to have any meaning at all..

It is what it is, but this is still fun to talk about. I do believe the stars of the WAC have begun to align themselves.

Here's how they accomplished that...

Denver 44 SoMiss 30
San Diego St 79 SoMiss 51
IUPUI 58 Rice 56
LaMonroe 71 SMU 64
Stephen F. Austin 82 Tulsa 72
Evansville 91 Marshall 81

CUSA won't stay that low, but they are a ways off from being a decent basketball conference...IMO, Memphis is going to absolutely run away and hide this year. Not only do they have a lot of mediocre teams, but most suffer from terrible attendance...even UAB.
