The Broncos played everyone on the roster, NMSU is going
to be a great team, there just a couple years away.
Please don't start yelling ruts at us, we played everone
that was not redshirting, The S. Aggies are just to
young a team right now to hold there own in the WAC.
Things will change for them when they get some more
WAC type recruits in and they get a little experience under
there belts.

It's ok. Hal Mumme won't hesitate to RUTS either, from what I remember watching of him in Kentucky.

Hal is one hell of a recruiter.

...and with NMSU getting TV time...and even more next year, he'll bring in some caliber talent.

NMSU was on ESPN more that UNM was this year. We all know what the ratio is going to look like next year.

I frankly couldn't care less about the whiny types who cry about RUTS. Their opinions mean absolutely nothing to me.

Frankly Boise State could have scored more than 60 or 70 points in the game against both Nevada and New Mexico State. So only scoring 49 and 56 points against those teams was anything but RUTS.

And to those Nevada fans who would argue that point, I'd suggest you watch the BSU vs. Nevada game tape again and make note of at least two things A. The "almost" interception by Orlando Scandrick (which would have made 5 INT's for Rowe) where Scandrick read the pass beautifully, broke on the ball and had it in both hands but simply fumbled it away. IF he had caught that ball there was absolutely nothing between him and the end zone. If he catches that ball it's easily 7 more points for BSU. B. On the very long INT return (76 yds I think) by Rashaad Richards, if Quinton Jones had blocked the one Nevada player who stood between Rashaad Richards and the endzone (instead of falling down), BSU would have had another TD. And no, Boise State did not score on that possession after that 76 yd INT return. Boise State turned it over on downs at Nevada's 6 yard line by going for it on 4th and 6 at the Nevada 9 yard line (with Boise State's 2nd string QB, Taylor Tharp, running the offense).

WTF are you talking about? Has a single Nevada fan said a word about RUTS? More of the "trash-talking" myth, perhaps?

We could discuss what ifs all day long that could have changed the score (Nevada's repeated failure to score inside the 20, for example), but it wouldn't change the fact that Nevada got thumped. Why the need for all the chest-pounding?

Good question. Why the original post was created is a wonder to me let alone a reply sucking Nevada into it.

On to this week's games.

That's exactly what it is....a post designed to suck Nevada fans into a "you suck" thread from the same guy who's post after teh BSU-Nevada game was "Nevada players don't know what hit them". You won......congratulations......move on.

I don't think BSU ran it up. Tough playing a good team on their home turf. (No matter what color) The Ag's obviously have had a very trying season, playing something like 6 bowl teams from last year. Give BSU credit, they could have been looking forward to Fresno but didn't. I think they simply took care of business.

Maybe I should not have posted. I guess I was reliving the last few years when we were called every name in the book for some of the scores. It was in no way meant to be offensive to anyone, especially Nevada. I don't make those
kind of posts, never have, never will.

RUTS....really have not heard that word for a long time...
Mabey the fans are better educated now about how football works and how the backup qb goes into the game to work on his skills which includes passing....

Glad to see that we have outlived the RUTS comments...
