.....The game is almost here. The dogs are in Hawaii, it's an early game, and I hope it's a packed house filled with nothing but salivating rabid fans!! It's time to strap em up and punch each other in the mouth! Hill said he loves the Hawaii fans dislike for us. He loves big games like this when there is a lot on the line, fun physical games.
..Hawaii's hard to tell how good they are cuz they lose to the good teams and beat all the bad teams. Well they have a damn team coming in Saturday. Ranked in the Top25 in all 3 polls, is 18-1 in the last 19 games, and has the best tandem of running backs in the WAC. They are #1 in the nation in punt return yards only allowing........75 YRDS A RETURN!!!...THATS POINT .75,UNREAL!! and on ABC.
...Its going to be tough, they have to stop a scoring offense, and it all starts with the run. Hawaii allowed San Jo 170yrds rushing, that is not good news for Hawaii. They better hope they play aspired football. I think they will because if they dont , they are out of the WAC championship race with a loss tomorrow.
....Lets hope alot has changed because the same team that beat them on offense 70-14(minus 1st round Mankins) is coming back again.
..Our plan will be simple run ,run, run, and run some more, keeping Brennan and the dangerous WR's for Hawaii off the field. lets hope Brennan can take all the punishment he's going to recieve, he got banged up in Sn Jose.
..A question to BOISE FANS: Pat hill said Zebrasky was taking alot of hits from the Hawaii defense ...true??
..Best of Luck Hawaii....no injuries for anyone but lots of good pops!!

No loss for words in this rivalry
By Ferd Lewis

Since Brigham Young — the university, not the leader — moved on, the University of Hawai'i football team has been looking for someone, anyone, to call its Western Athletic Conference rival.
It has looked in Ruston, La., Fort Worth, Texas, and a half dozen outposts.
Currently, fans point to three possibilities: Fresno State, which UH plays tomorrow at Aloha Stadium, Boise State and San Jose State.
In an effort to clear up the confusion and settle, for the time being, the issue, we offer a checklist of ways to prove that Fresno State is the Warriors' arch rival.
Indeed, you know the Bulldogs are your rival when:
1. Fresno fans have chanted the name of the UH quarterback's mother.
2. A UH team physician once told Fresno hecklers after a lopsided loss: "Yeah, but at least we get to go home to Hawai'i; you have to stay here in Fresno."
3. The Bulldogs' coach refuses to let your media talk to his players the week of the game, two years running.
4. The Bulldogs' coach has said, the games are "only close over here, never at our place."
5. A former Hawai'i TV sportscaster was so upset by not winning that he said on the air: "All this way for a (bleeping) tie."
6. UH players celebrated their first win in Fresno State's campus stadium by stomping on the Bulldog logo and are confronted by the coach.
7. The UH coach later said of the incident: "In my day I would have jacked the guy up. In fact, I was kinda hoping one of our guys would drop him to be quite honest for cursing as he was at our guys."
8. A sportscaster from Hawai'i got in a bloody fight in the stands at Fresno's stadium.
9. Three years after a screwdriver was alleged to have been tossed near one coach it is still a bone of contention with the other coach.
10. Witnesses who actually saw a screwdriver fly from the stands are hard to find but the story has long since become urban legend.
11. A former UH coach once made up a tale about a Fresno coach tying a UH helmet on a rope and dragging it around a Fresno parking lot behind his truck.
13. When the other team wears blue and you see red.
14. A former athletic director once said of a former FSU coach: "I'd just like to punch that bleep in the mouth. Even if I got fired it would be worth it."
15. Your players run through the other team's tunnel and the other team says it helped inspire them to a 70-14 victory.
16. Fresno State's coaches make a policy of searching the plane for playbooks after rumors that one that went missing in the past was given to UH by airline employees.
17. A Fresno State assistant athletic director once said his team was late to the stadium because Honolulu police never showed up to escort the Bulldogs' bus.

Z's been taking alot of hits all year, but Hawaii worked him pretty good. With thier mixed blitz package, they had him scrambling a bit more than usual. That's a very athletic defense, can't remember is name but one DE in particular had his sights on Z all night long and put some good licks on him. Z is one tough mother to make the plays he made taking that pounding.
I wish I had gameplan so I could watch this one.

Z is "no doubt" one tough motha.
He was still in the duldrums when BSU played Hawaii.
But I think he's now back to the player we all remember from last year.
...and that's bad news for the remaining teams on BSU's schedule.

Good luck hitting Brennan, he's an elusive guy. Heck of an arm too. My bet is he pisses off you dog fans by getting away repeatedly from the rushers.

What, Fresno-Hawaii isn't being shown in Boise on ABC? That is too weird.
