Pack currently has 13 games slated for television, not including the bracketbuster game.
As far as the OOC schedule goes-
Top road games include Kansas on the road, UCLA on a neutral court, and Pacific.
Top home games are Georgia and Louisiana Layfayette.
Pack had to add Seattle Pacific (Division II) to fill a spot and just added Norfolk State from the MEAC. It seems the big boys are afraid to come to Lawlor these days and play a game.

They released their schedule about a month ago really but Fox wanted that extra game since Seattle Pacific won't count for anything. And since I think University of New Orleans isn't playing basketball this year Norfolk St needs the extra game.
However I would not go as far to say teams are scared to play here.

Umm...yeah actually I would go so far as to say teams are scared to play here.
That's the price of being a "mid-major" playing at the level of the big boys. They gain nothing by winning here because it's "expected", and have a whole lot to lose. Remember the Kansas game two seasons ago?
Need proof? Stanford actually backed out of an agreement to play at Lawlor, even though they have played here before...before the Pack was a good team. They played here when it was an easy win. Fox said he contacted a ton of schools, and none of the "big" schools were willing to come here and play. And if you're paying attention, you'll see that many other schools in Nevada's position (it's a good problem to have) have a similiar situation.
Right Gonzaga? Right Utah State?
Wolf Pack 1, do you ever see the bright side to Nevada athletics?

Utah St has the same problem to a large degree. Oral Roberts had the same problem and Utah St was the only team with enough balls to go and play them on the road for a home/home.

How about a home and home with UTEP.
Really wish our schools could make that happen!
This was really a great rivalry!

I heard talks stalled when Nevada insisted that the Miners wear elbow pads.
j/k....I'd like to see them do it before the enthusiasm fades too much. Right now, they would pack both houses....in a few more years, who knows?

Stanford pulled out because TJ became their coach and said he would not play Nevada unless in the tournament.
Teams have nothing to lose to come here now especially with the way RPI now sets up rewarding teams for going on the road. My only point which I have made before is that a lot of teams had their schedules done months ago when Nevada just starting working on theirs.
Right now, Wolf Pack should start working on next year's b-ball schedule because right now all the road games for next year have already been signed unless they will have more OOC games next year.

It's nice to see the ESPN games listed. 2006 is only the beginning for WAC basketball.
There's no substitute for "exposure".
