What, no love for the Plano Reapers? The defending 3A State F#*&in' Champions?

Huh, I'd have thought that knocking the snot out of Morton, Leyden, Proviso East, and Willowbrook would've had Downers South ready for the playoffs.... guess not.... again.

Bloomington High School, a 6a power, has had a season riddled with injuries and suspensions. However, they are starting to get some guys back and all the "bad apples" have been weeded out of the system. They upset 8-1 Chatham-Glenwood and should beat New Lenox setting up an Normal-Bloomington showdown for a trip to Champaign.

NIUHuskies09, I'm actually surprised West got in the endzone. Looking at some of the scores of your past 1st round games, I'm just happy you guys didnt' drop 70 on us.

Bloomington as in the downstate sacrificial lamb the ihsa gives teams from up north for the title every Thanksgiving weekend??? jk I like the purple pansies. Provi is going to win that game however to set up a revenge game with the Celtics in the semi's against JC.

And as for Normal West. They aren't a CPL team, which is our normal 1st round opponent. We rested 9 total starters and it was raining. The most important score for us is the 1st half because our starters were in and it was 42-0, so I'll take it.

Yeah BHS usually gets slaughtered in the finals but wasn't that back before they had 7a and 8a? I could be wrong.. Anyway, things have changed as evidenced with Normal Community losing by 5 to Morris in 05 and winning it all last year. That being said, everyone knows that JC is still the team to beat.. teams in Central IL play all year for a shot against you in Champaign.

BHS quarterback is out tonight.. still recovering from a concussion received last week. That said, I don't see them beating New Lenox tonight.
