Well, so much for cleaning up the trash that keeps robbing people. This is what happens when you put pressure on many of the gangs(yes, I am aware there are some white gangs). It all of a sudden becomes "racism". I hope they don't cave in. BTW, are these the best they could do for examples? Wow. The NAACP seems to be getting desperate.

I thought about mentioning this yesterday, but I decided it wasn't smart.

Simple premise: Whoever breaks the law and commits a crime should be severly punished pursuant to the law. Whether the criminal is black, white, Hispanic, Asian, or Eskimo makes no difference. If that makes me a racist, so be it. To go after people for no reason, simply because you don't like the color of their skin, is racism. To punish a violator of the law is not.

I saw the thread title and first post and thought "this should end well"

I was all set to make some popcorn, put my feet up and watch the combustion and see who gets Godwinned first- but I guess life is full of disappointments.

That may be the weakest argument made for racism.. ever. I am stunned they would not have something more substantial before trying to make a point.

I am not shocked it was all they had. Blacks are more divisive and racist than whites in my opinion.

the only way one can say this is if they lived in the shoes of both sides. I don't want to start any argument, but whether you like it or not, there is a degree that exists in this country even to this day. its just exists in forms different from the standard NAACP "outrage"

one perfect example is the 9th ward of New Orleans...the place is still devastated while your better off places become rebuilt. its sad really

Clearly there is racism all over, although quite a bit less here then in places like New Orleans or other places in the south. This article if anything makes the NAACP look ridiculous though, and does nothing to make me think the DeKalb police are racist.

HuskieAlum.. your example of New Orleans, last I checked the Twin Towers the epitome of "better off" was still just a hole in the ground 5 years later, I don't know if they have done anything since. There is a problem in America when it comes to things like this, not just for minorities, but in general.

There is a problem in America when it comes to things like this, not just for minorities, but in general.

i think a better analogy will be to see how quickly the burned areas of california will be rebuilt and comparing it to new orleans. but, then you can make an analogy for class differences.
