Pro-BCS article that relies on the premise that because Colorado State couldn't get it done against big time opponents, that other non-BCS busters won't either.

Let me tell you why he's full of it. He says if Utah, Boise, or Fresno had a Big 12 schedule, they'd be trying to figure out how to survive. However, he completely overlooks the fact that if any of those teams were in a BCS conference, they would have more recruiting power and could remain competitive. I have no doubt that if Boise or Fresno were in the Pac 10, they would continue to finish at the top.

Not only that, but what's also mentioned is that in a BCS Conference, YOU DON'T HAVE TO RUN THE TABLE TO GET A BCS BOWL! Of course Fresno/Boise/Utah probably wouldn't run the table in the Big 12 or SEC--most Big 12/SEC schools are incapable of running the table in those confernces too!
Kansas State went to a BCS Bowl game with *3* losses last year. Any non-BCS team has to go undefeated in order to do so. That's the difference, BCS teams are advantaged because they can still make a BCS game with multiple losses.

Here's my favorite line of his story:
"Put Utah in the Big 12, and the Utes wouldn't be whining about not being in the BCS."
I certainly hope the Utes would stop whining about not being in the BCS if they were in a BCS conference!!

This is what happens when newspapers hire sportswriters without checking their IQ scores first!
