I don't think talent is the issue for the Herd. Aside from the obvious (injury issues), they need a coach that is capable of tying it all together. It's unfortunate, because I really, really wanted to like Snyder. I was really pulling for him to do well, since he's a Marshall guy, and would likely have stuck around a while. But alas, I think I'm finally off the Snyder bandwagon now.
Unfortunately, I don't think this is the last year we'll have him. I think they'll give him one more year before they make a move, most likely using the injury issue as the rationalization.

Congratulations Bearcats, good game. Hopefully we'll be more competitive next year when you come to Huntington. I'd say you guys are definately bowl bound. Nice attendance as well. Winning brings out the fans like nothing else.
Again, nice game. Have a great and healthy season!

RE: UC/MooU Game
Congratulations to the Bearcats. Your hot start continues. I agree on the attendance comments above. Tied the record? Goofy. Whoever is reporting attendance should have just added a couple more people to that number, anyway, in order to establish a new record. Attendance counts are almost never 100% accurate, even in many professional sports venues, as it is.

I was at the game and it seemed more like 37,000. There were probably 2k just standing around and the stadium was filled!

I think that maybe they just announced the attendance as the stadium capacity (though I might be wrong). The student section had people standing on every bench and between the benches. Way more students than there were seats.

RE: UC/MooU Game
According to several people that went to the game looked like 37,000 to 38,000 (standing room) but they will not announce above what the fire code allows...this is why it was the "exact same number" as the Purdue game from a few years ago....

RE: UC/MooU Game
thanks for a great time Cincy. (minus the Red Vest S.S.: one wanted to throw me out because the toe of my shoe was across a divot in the concrete while I was talking to some friends who came to see me at the game.)
fyi - the UC Band is a class act, and I enjoyed performing with them.
