The only other nomination I can think of is Temple over Va Tech in Blacksburg....other then that one game this one is right up there

That's a good one. It would be ironic if the biggest upset in conference history was between two teams that are no longer in the conference! Syracuse definitely has the biggest win in Big East history when they stopped Boston College from running off to the ACC with the Big East title and a BCS berth. We would have NEVER heard the end of that one!

We here in Syarcuse got to watch the game via TimeWarner sports. The analysist said that UK and SU were teams that matched up to the UofL players in body size and strength something UofL didn't see in there first 2 games.

As for Biggest Big East upset I think that Temple victory was bigger, I still believe SU was more talented then that Temple team in 1998

I don't think it's the biggest...but it certainly ranks up there. I don't think anyone saw this coming, I was watching and almost couldn't believe what I was seeing.

To think this wasn't even in the Dome and with Louisville looking to avenge their loss to UK. Great win for the 'Cuse...

While this is only one win, I think this was a huge statement game for the school. Syracuse just reminded the conference that they are still part of the Big East and to look out in the future!

Agreed. I think that as the season goes on, this win will look less and less impressive, as Syracuse wont be the only team to beat Louisville from the BE. At this point, I dont know if Louisville can handle an inconsistant Utah and a pretty bad NC State. Kragthorpe better get his stuff together down there.

I can't wait for next season for Syracuse, the Offensive Line actually played really good. With this year under there belt we should have a solid running game next season since Brinkley and Delone Carter are back. Andrew Robinson and the WRs Tahj Smith (2 TD today) and Mike Williams (1 TD today) all come back. I think this cuse team will be ready next season.

I think the Temple over Virginia Tech upset is bigger because of the sheer impact it had. I also think Louisville is going to finish fourth or fifth in the Big East standings this season. I originally projected them to end the year in a three-way tie for third place but that looks iffy right now.

As far as the NC State and Utah games go, the Cardinals better figure something out, the last thing the Big East needs is losses to ACC and MWC teams. I do not care if Louisville goes winless in the conference but it is imperative that they find a way to win their next two contests.
