Fiesta Bowl Rep to Cincy
There is word from practice Wed that the Fiesta Bowl will have a rep attending the Marshall/Cincy game Sat night. Wow, it's a long shot and anything can happen as it is so early in the season but we have come a long way to just even be looked at by a BCS Bowl. What a perfect time to come to Cincy. The students are back the game is nearing a sellout and its Octoberfest Zinzinnati. Hope he stays on campus or downtown 500,000 will attending the events and enjoying the Brew. It's a great time to be a Bearcat! The Bearcats are #6 inthe Sagrin ratings. Oh yea and we get to go to San Diego next week!

Looks like they are expecting 34,000-36,000(sellout) for this one!!!! Never thought I'd see the day that UC football would be talking sellout vs. an 0-3 team.
I also read that only seats remaining for UofL and WVA are "obstructed view" which means behind visitor bench!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't get much better than a Bearcat Victory, doing a little tailgating and then partying downtown at Octoberfest!!!!!!!!!!

Do me a favor Bearcats and pound the Greenies. An 0-4 start - with a loss against a 1-AA thown in for good measure - should stop the delusional yapping of their fans, at least for a little while.

Funny you mention that WVU Crazed. Check out Herd01 on this board:

that dude is clueless.
you should read their message board. If you have some time to waste and need something to give you a good laugh or two, it's worth checking out. The Greenies are highly entertaining.

That is just awesome for Cincinnati. I can't wait to see how the Bearcats look playing at a sold out Nippert Stadium in your game. Please lay a serious smackdown on Marshall and make a great first impression on the Fiesta Bowl official. Your stock just keeps rising and rising.

Wasn't there a Marshall fan on here a week or so ago claiming that Marshall "owned" UC a few years ago?

Hey Cincy fans SportsNet New York, the New York Mets owned RSN picked up the game tonight here in New York. People are really starting to get excited about Big East football in this area I'll tell you that much.

Very nice! This is the advantage of being in the media capital of the country and having the strongest market of any conference in America. That's why the ACC tried to steal Syracuse and Boston College together, to get into the Northeast. Of course it made the Big East stronger since they were able to replace a small market (Virginia Tech) and replace another market (Florida, and parts of Boston) and add in new markets (Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin). So when a team gets hot (like Cincinnati, South Florida, Connecticut), or a big game materializes (Cincinnati/Marshall because of Fiesta Bowl reps, Cincinnati/Rutgers, USF/WVU, UConn/Pitt) we have enough big markets to broadcast the games nationally without ESPN. Bit is right, the BEast as awaken!

Remember, the Big East has a lot of influence. Our game against, I believe, Syracuse, was on MSG's channel, I know the UC/Connecticut game was. And last year Cincinnati's game against Connecticut was on the Altitude, the home of Colorado sports. That's right, a game between two Northeast schools was seen by fans in Colorado and part of the West Coast without being on a national sports program. That's how powerful the Big East's coverage is!
