A very good trend: Increasing TV for the Big East
Big East games on ABC and ESPN
2005 - 4 ABC, 14 ESPN Networks
2006 - 3 ABC, 25 ESPN Networks
This is games that were held at Big East home sites. For example, Louisville at Kentucky is considered an SEC game.
For 2007, 17 games have been selected for television through four weeks of the season. With 10 weeks remaining it should be quite easy for the conference to at least match its output from last year.
In terms of regional/ESPN+ exposures, the conference has already surpassed last year. 17 Big East home games have telecast windows set up and more will definitely open up. 2005 had 12 regional telecasts, 2006 had 16.
Possible National TV Games through either ABC or ESPN Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU). If UConn gets on a roll, they'll definitely add on.
Maryland at Rutgers
UCF at USF
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh
Mississippi St. at W. Virginia
W. Virginia at Rutgers
Pittsburgh at Louisville
Cincinnati at USF
W. Viriginia at Cincinnati
Pittsburgh at Rutgers
Louisville at USF
Connecticut at W. Virginia
USF at Pittsburgh
What has helped this increase:
-The Big Ten Network taking all non-ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 football games. ESPN is making a push to give the conference more exposure and ESPU has open time slots. ESPNU only has the MAC, Big East, ACC and Sun Belt to choose games from.
-Some worthwhile out-of-conference home games
-A need to fill out ESPN Game Plan with enough games.
-Regional Sports Networks needing to fill time with the loss of Big Ten athletics. SportsNet NY seems to be locking itself with UConn, Rutgers has MSG Network, USF has the Catch 47 channel.
-All the other obvious stuff (schools are winning, positive press, etc.)

I figure the WVU-Rutgers game will get picked up. Both teams will probably come in unbeaten.
Of course, Rutgers will come out of that game with a loss. White and Slaton are healthy this year.
