RE: New group icons ...what do you think?
anti orange folks who have orange in places they chose...what color would not be a team's rival? Orange is lots of teams colors, and all those teams have rivals. where is the Gamecock outrage? I wouldnt be upset if a group badge that I didnt chose was light blue. I wont have light blue in my sig or avator since I chose those.

RE: New group icons ...what do you think?
Firstly, I thought Charlotte fans were a bunch of a$$holes.

You guys take the cake.

Firstly, I don't care about the mod badges. I think my whole problem with this thread is because mods...can't seem to have a rational conversation without name calling, etc. Telling people to 'burn in hell', etc. I don't think that is called for. I think changing your poll to single out one fan that has a strong opinion is childish and immature.

For the most part, I am very appreciative of all of the hard work that is done to keep this site up and running.

I do NOT however enjoy watching our fans get teased and pushed about by a bunch of folks.

This is a serious question and not a flame. What percentage of posts in the NCAABbs belongs to MemphisTigers.org?

Why can't you just make the group badges optional? I thought one of the great things about the new software was how flexible it was.

Oh, and for my information...what group of fans did we 'run off' as was stated in a previous post...I missed that

Yeah, he could change the color of the tags, but why? It's a senseless request. If anything, I should be offended for the badges being orange and blue. I HATE the damn gators. But y'know what? They're just colors.

Let me get this straight...it is ok for the majority to b*tch about the size of the icons like the other day, but not the color?

A lot of you guys who are attacking the folks who hate the color (and I personally couldn't care less about the colors myself, by the way) were b*tching about the size of them the other day. Just thought I'd point that out.

I thought they were made smaller because that was just not the general consensus of a small number of [Memphis] users, it was more than 50% which is why they were changed, but correct me if I'm wrong. The last poll was 45 no 39 yes. This time it's 20 no 22 yes. Course the poll isn't done yet. We'll have to wait and see how it turns out.

I demand that the color blue be removed from this site. Xavier (UC's in town rival) has blue in their uniform.

In fact, I demand that you change everyones colors to black and red, as they are the only colors that matter. Anything else is a slap in the face of Cincinnati fans.

If the MT.org people are so upset, move on. You can rent your own server, your own rack space in a data center, and pay for it yourself.

Can I make it so? Of course I can...will I? That's another story...I'll make them optional if gomemphistigers1 and HornLakeTiger shrink their signature images...those motherf'er's are almost as big as my ego.

GTS would have to make Mods for EVERY position, MT Mods, Blazer Mods, etc., etc., etc. and create separate icons for each for NO one to be offended.

Have any of you sat back and thought about how much work that would be? Have you even considered how much time and effort GTS devotes to making this site better? While most of you sit on your asses and post, while sipping on a cold one, and I'm one of'em, many times he's behind the scenes working on this site. I took a lot of that **** for granted until I started my own military board.

There is no doubt it is a lot of work to run these sites. Kpigout needs to sit back and relax about colors. As far as options for a front page of content, I submitted an option to them on their message board.

Move MT.org to point to a web page somewhere, and just link to here for the message boards. They could even create a subdomain named forums.memphistigers.org that would redirect to their boards on here. It is a MUCH cheaper option for them as they would not need a high powered machine to run their message board software/database.

I may regret this....

Maybe some of you guys don't understand. Your rival's colors are red or blue or gold or yellow or maybe green. Now think of how many teams you could associate with that color. Some may answer 4. Other colors may bring to mind 6, or perhaps 8 teams. I can think of 5 for red right off the bat.

How many D1 schools can you name (without Google) that use orange?
It has a deeper meaning than you can possibly realize, including state politics, funding, etc.
That's all I'm sayin'

I agree 100%. However, I fully understand a difference of opinion over the use of a color...and everyone's opinion is worthy.

The problem that I have is that some on here have taken liberty to personaly attack one of our most valued members who is also a very fair, even tempered moderator. That's uncalled for.

off the top of my head... Bowling Green(our rival but I realize this has NOTHING to do with them), Syracuse, Boise, UTEP, Illinois, Texas, Oregon State, Oklahoma State, Clemson, Florida, Auburn.
Sure there's more that I can't think of. But of course one school is just being picked on here...

You are kind of inviting it. If he stopped acting like a baby, I am positive the attacks would cease.

Starting that thread attacks NOBODY. Some have turned the discussion into a personal bashfest.

Again, I understand a difference in opinion regarding the colors of the bars.....I don't like the bars at all, but I can live with them. Once again, turning it into a personal issue is out of place in an environment where adults try to gather to discuss sports.

I'm not going to argue about it.....some folks used the opportunity to slam a valued member of the board community and it's out of place. There's nothing to argue about, that's just what happened.
