More MLB Trade Rumors: Jacquestrap Jones... He Gone?
Rumor is he was traded to the Marlins. Nothing is finalized, however a roster move has to made today so it would make sense.

It's believed that the Cubs wouldn't get much in return as this is basically another "addition by subtraction" move. They will likely also send money over to help pay for a portion of his salary.

Congrats Cubs fans.. this guy was only holding you down. Of course, I'm sure you figured that out long before I did.

i was always enamoured how his throws from outfield consisted of a ball 10' above his targets head or 10 bounces before the ball reached the intended fielder.

The thing I don't get is how he played for the Twins before the Cubs...they're the "model of playing baseball the right way." Was he that poor defensively playing for them?

I suppose the artificial surface made his "10 bounce" throws from the outfield actually useful the way some left-side infielders skip balls across the infield to 1st base.

FYI- that website is the most bogus trade rumor site available. So dont use it too much...

All Cubs fans should know that Jones was going to be traded today. They needed to make a roster move to get another pitcher up.
If this trade is finalized, I'll be jumping for joy, but at the same time pissed because Hendry couldn't pull off another trade to the Padres....A couple days ago, there were rumors of Jones, Izturiz and minor league throw-ins to SD for Khalil Greene and Linebrink.

Anyways, I'm happy that he's gone, or soon to be gone..Alot less clutter in the OF

Probably mlbtraderumors.com. It is pretty off sometimes. I like to read it for the speculation though.

Probably mlbtraderumors.com. It is pretty off sometimes. I like to read it for the speculation though.

Yeah that site is pretty bogus.. funny though. I rely on rotoworld.com and prosportsdaily.com as well as blogs like vivaelbirdos.com and bleedcubbieblue.com

those blogs are for the serious baseball fan.. some great stuff there
