OT- betcha not too many know this
One of the very first commemorative ceremonies was held in a cemetery to honor fallen soldiers in Carbondale, Il with General Logan who spoke following the Civil War & became his inspiration for initiating Decoration Day which was later officially renamed in 1967 as Memorial Day.

True.
However, spayed and neutered seems so coarse for a topic so American, solemn and related to SIU/Carbondale who we are playing this fall.
It's a stretch but I'm stickin' with it here until a mod moves it.
Grading Errors and SAE should also have been so labeled. Where was the outcry then?
Heaven forbid should I be singled out also for my typing/spelling/grammar faux pas:
