I think it is safe to say that Katie is not working out for CBS. I stole this headline off of Drudge...

Quote:CBS COURIC NIGHTMARE... WEDNESDAY EDITION OF 'EVENING NEWS' 3RD PLACE IN ALL TOP 7 MARKETS, NIELSEN REPORTS... LAST PLACE IN ALL OF LOS ANGELES BROADCAST-TV, BEHIND ABC, NBC AND 'MALCOLM IN MIDDLE', 'FRIENDS', 'KING OF QUEENS' RERUNS...

I did watch some of her coverage of the Florida Tornadoes last week, and she was terrible on location. Just bad!

I like the BBC news at 6 pm in the Chicago area (public television). It's only a half hour, but they don't spend most of it telling you what's coming up next. And no commercials. I can't stand to watch regular network news now, it's too annoying.

i agree, the BBC is excellent for world news. i watch it whenever i get the chance. in general, i find the stuff on PBS is much more level headed than the stuff on network or cable. the news hour with jim lehrer, frontline, chicago tonight: all stellar.

Amen. I really really really hope the new BBC online television service will support Linux. Right now it's Windows only, but there's motions against the BBC as supporting only one platform is arguably a violation of their public charter.
