Time for Conservatives to get Radical
I completely agree. Sometimes I think I am the only conservative voice on sports BBs. I know there are others out there, but they never seem to speak up.

This website(the Spin room) is overflowing with conservatives. It is damn near tidal wave proportions.

The term "conservative" has been hijacked by Republicans, just like the term "liberals" has been hijacked by Democrats. Or by the media, depending on where your alleigence lies. The youth of this country really needs to create a new party. I really hope we can. Everytime I look at the jackasses or the fat-ass elephants, I see little difference with the same objective.

I wouldn't be surprised to see young america with the same views.

What would such a party look like. As a 50-year-old and never having had any kids, I am a little out of touch. What would be their values on immigartion and securing our border, abortion, same-sex marriage, our national debt., war in Iraq, trade imbalance with China, etc.?

abortion is the individuals choice and only theirs, same sex marriage well they really aren't bothering you are they, plus i believe this to be protected by the clause that states fo life liberty and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

trade imbalance with china isn;t abig deal so long as the US mantains a competative return in the world investment market it can theorecticlly go on indefinatly.

Immigration- come here get legal go to work i have no problem with this.

National debt- run the government for profit.

Tulsaman since when does whether or not something bothers me determine whether it should be legal or not. If somebody commits murder a few doors down from me, it doesn't really bother me, but should it be legal?

And, how did you get to be so radical for living in such a conservative Christian town as Tulsa? Don't you feel out of place there?

i like to be different. people are always afraid of whats different plus most people here can't think for themselves. i love to think.

and murder and homosexual marriage aren't really the same thing are they? thats like apples to oranges or pears to peaches. i'm not radical i'm just socially liberal but i'm fiscally conservative.

immigartion - shoot the illegals
abortion - keep it legal
same-sex marriage - Let the states decide
our national debt - don't care
war in Iraq - Don't care
trade imbalance with China - Agree with Tulsaman on this one.

i think conservatism and liberalism have both lost their true meanings over the years. they've each been hijacked by the other side. somehow liberalism has come to mean a "gay san fransiscoan, tree hugging hippie".

when someone says conservative, i think of a person like robert mccormick.

Good lord man, this board is made up of 90% conservatives and they do a hell of a lot of talking(though most of what they say makes no sense).

Given that what many of us say is made up of sound logic and reasoning it's no surprise it makes no sense to you. You've never been good with things like that.
