That was f'ing terrible. That kind of crap would probably get him an interview with a marketing department, but not with anyone else.
I can see why this guy wasn't getting any call backs on his resume....
1. No Degree. You are not going to get hired for a six figure job without
at least a bachelor's degree unless you are either an expert in your
field or own the business.
2. Says he wants to be a Brand Manager, but none of the skills listed
relate to that position.
3. His "Superpowers" are weak.....
a. $2 Million saved? I saved my company more than $12 Million this
year. $2 Million doesn't sound that special to me. You should be
saving your company at least 10 times your salary every year at a
minimum.
b. 18 years experience? Sounds impressive, but the picture of him
looks like he is 35 at most. Does working at McDonald's in High
School count as "experience"? Without a degree, I am positive he
didn't start in a job that would be relevant to what he is looking for.
c. You read 67 books this year? How about getting a degree with all
that spare time? This statement just makes him sound aloof.
I'd be afraid that each time I'd give him a project/challenge, he would respond with a f'n slide show pointing out the positives in not getting the job done.
He also seems to have a problem getting to the point....

Much of higher ed over the past 25 years has been a scam. I'm glad to meet intellegent, driven people w/o degrees.

Depends on the position and circumstances. $2M is good IMO, but I don't know what he did, or why he left that position.

But that experience is still meaningful. Look at Ken Hendrix's success.

Again, I say why waste the time and money on a degree?
