Met Ja Rule a month ago. He played a concert here, and thru some of my contacts, went to the show and chilled with him afterwards. He is one of the nicest rappers I've met. Went around and talked to everyone. If I find a pic, I'll post it.

PS: On the other hand, Juvanile was a prick.

Favorite rappers of all time...

Tupac
DMX
Ja Rule

All of those guys are just awesome. DMX came to Raleigh and did a promotional show. Although he was only out there for like half an hour, there was more energy in that parking lot than I've felt anywhere else in my whole life. Truly amazing thing. I'd love to see him perform a real show. I still haven't seen Ja Rule yet.

Other guys I really like:

Ludacris
Twista
Bizzy Bone
Nelly
Nas
Outkast

I've seen Nelly and the St. Lunatics in concert before..and they were pretty damn good. I'm also going to see Ludacris next week!

Ever been to an Outkast concert? At the end of the show, they tell everyone where the after party is. It's usually some backroads place that only the locals recognize when they say it. At Clemson they said it was at the Central Amusement Center... well only people who've gone out about 4 miles off campus towards Central, SC would know that the Central Amusement Center is a little bingo shack behind an old Ingles. Sure enough, I got there and it was about 200 people plus Outkast at one huge party. They went and bought a whole bunch of liquor after a while and while everyone else was dancing and all Outkast let people come back to the "VIP room" and hang out and drink. Of course you had to show the cops who showed up your ID to get back there, but that was no big deal. I thought it was pretty damn cool to be a big goofy white dude hanging out with the guys from Outkast, and they didn't even make me feel awkward about it, they seemed like they were glad to have everyone back there hanging out.

Cash Money Millionaires blow!

I think the only one I like is lil wayne...and that's because he's only like 15 or 16 years old. They'll put out a decent song every once in a while, but it's all the same thing.

Just kiddin

I've seen Outkast in concert once...and I actually didn't have that great of a time. The majority of their show was from their first CD, and I was quite young at that age and never owned it. I also got their real late and had to stand in the back...which sucked badly. I'm sure if I was closer to the stage I would have had a much better time.

My current favorite rapper is Ludacris and Outkast is a close second. It doesn get any better than the dirty south.

Oh no LK, we're in trouble now! j/k

Whiteville, I've seen them in two types of places, one was a basketball stadium and the other was a hole in the wall club with a small stage. At the club, everyone was on ground level and so if you were close to the stage it was really cool. At the basketball stadium, I was in the front seats and it really wasn't all that special because of the way they had the seats layed out. All you could do was stand there (you couldn't mingle around the crowd to find girls to dance with). Anyway, if you ever see them again and it's the small type of setting, make sure you get their early and get up front, it's a blast.

I don't really like Nelly.

Ja Rule, DMX and Ludacris are the best, IMO.

FWIW, Outkast is from my fabulous home town of East Point, GA. Listen to the song "Ain't No Thang"

the chorus goes...
"Ain't no thang but a chicken wang
We havin a smoke out in the Dungeon with the Mary Jane
It's just a pimps, playas, mack daddies, East Point
It's all about that ses in yo chest, It's the joint"

I have no clue what all that means, but you see the reference.

Lucky you SeminoleRob for meeting Ja Rule. Ludacris was here in Virginia at JMU not too long ago, but it sold out really quick. Ja Rule was also in Vriginia at Radford, and I believe, Virginia Tech. Once again...both shows sold out. We have had no luck. I love both of them. "Roll Out" is my anthem right now. And "What's Luv" by Fat Joe is also my jam (I love the guy in the video). Ashanti's song, "Foolish," is nice too. I love me some Nelly. I've heard his new song, and that is some hot stuff. He's not too bad to look at either, along with Ja Rule.

But my favorite CD that I have gotten this year would have to be "The Great Depression" by DMX. This CD is great all the way through. That is our thumpin' CD on the weekends.
