Kornholer and Wilbon are Rome knockoffs who can't think of their own schtick so they gravytrained Romey Van Smack into their own show(s) which all suck.

As print journalists yes, but Rome has been on the air longer than both.

Rome starts a call in radio show in SoCal that eventually achieves national acclaim. Kornholer follows suit.

Rome has a TV show. Kornholer follows suit.

Hell, the most famous day of Kornholer's show each year is a rip off of the Jim Rome staple "The Smack Off."

Without Rome's immense popularity there wouldn't even be a smackoff to make fun of.

The great ones make their own content. They don't gravytrain off of others the way Kornholer has.

And no, most of Rome's stuff is not his own. Sure he puts his own twist on it, but his ideas are plagarisms. You would know this if you read sports pages, did research, and listened to other sports shows and not just that drabble.

And Terpy, if you only look at the TV show itself then you are correct. The Last Word is horrible because Fox won't let Rome do his normal schtick. Rome is reduced to a sports reporter in that format and he isn't good at it. He is at his best when he is allowed to rant and extemporize on various sports.
