If one my friends deserted me in a drunkin stupor and I got the **** kicked out of me, you can be sure I would find him and let him know just how I feel!!!!

I feel like I just keep repeating myself now dookie. If you are not going to take into account earlier posts and just act like they are not there, then what is the point.

First of all, Reggie didn't get the **** kicked out of him from what I hear.

Second of all, you can blame him for getting drunk, you can't say he's a bad friend, because he's NOT THINKING STRAIGHT! In a normal thinking environment, I know Duhon would help Reggie, and for most of the time, aren't we all in a normal thinking environment?

You know Nate, back in the day, I did some of my best thinking and talking when I was "drunk". If Duhon was there, and left Reggie passed out, there is a problem, even if it a "drunk decision" as you claim. There is NO excuse for leaving your friends behind.
You guys will have to agree to disagree or I will just lock this off.....................nah, never mind, have at it. This is not the "other board" and we will let you guys go at it as long as you feel like it. Keep it respectable. Ring!!!

I am either willing to agree to disagree or take it to PM if necessary.

I was saying if I got the **** kicked out of me, then I would find the friend that deserted me. Where did you get confused there??? I figured since you love using hypothetical situations soooo much that I would use one of my own. Sorry that you had such a hard time understanding, but I guess it's expected.

Duhon is a bad friend.

wow--what a thread!!! Is this a record??? Ouch-- what a name "A better friend than Chris Duhon"-- that hurts (I am still a Dukie) lol-- mine should be "Fake I.D. anyone???"-- reference to the Kentucky scandal... one of thousands this season... (my petty attempt at changing the subject again)!! lol

Ok Dookie, let me say this from personal experience, one day a friend and I got really drunk and he was in pretty bad shape, despite my drunken state I still had the presense of mind to stay with him until I was sure that he was ok. I never would have left him passed out in frat house while I leave to hook up with some ho no matter how drunk I was. Duhon screwed up royaly and drunkeness is not an excuse. If I had left my friend passed out somewhere I doubt we would be friends any more.

Terpy, that personal anecdote does nothing to prove your point. As I said before, alcohol affects people in different ways. There is no doubt in my mind that if Duhon was sober, he would have helped Reggie. If you are going to deny this, then go ahead, but it will just make you look stupid.

BTW, DT2, putting negative stuff about an opposing player on your profile just proves that MD fans really envy Duke. Do you see any Duke fans with tag lines like "Steve Blake: the thug"?

You right dookie...I envy everything that is Duke.
God how I wish I went to Duke.
God how I wish my grandmother was an Iron Duke. God how I wish I was born a dookie.
I guess I just wasn't one of the lucky ones.
**** THAT!!!

Back to the thread...Basically what you are saying Dookie, is that Duhon is a lightweight who can't handle his alcohol, because if not he would not have left Reggie....true???

You swear that alcohol affects different people in different ways. If the alcohol affected Duhon soooo much that he forgot about his very close friend Reggie, then he is a lightweight....agreed?

I guess (???), or maybe he just had a lot of alcohol in him. At this point, anything is hypothetical.

Come on guys. None of us will ever no what happened that night and who is responsible, and how drunk they were, and all of the details of the situation. There is no reason you should be defending someone if you don't know all of the facts and if you weren't there I don't know how you could, and there is no reason to criticize Love and Duhon. These two guys are college kids and althought they are big time basketball players, they are not gods, and they make mistakes. I understand that some want to defend their team and players and others want to make a huge deal about this because it rarely happens especially to Duke players. But all in all, none of us will ever no exactly what happened and why, and we should just remember this situation and be thankful that nothing worse happened to Love and Duhon. I am sure they have learned lessons from their poor decisions and have moved on in life with more wisdom because of them. End of discussion.
