All that matters is the fact that Jack lead Tech to a vicktory over a top 15 team

Not to mention 2 great performances in his FIRST 2 GAMES!

You'll recognize your wrong when Tech beats Dook

Lets see how some other opposing guards who are "way better" than Jack have done today.
-Todd Billet had 6 pts and 4 fouls
-Raymond Felton had 10 pts on 3-9 shooting
-Steve Blake had 13 pts 5 as. and 5 to
Impressive.
Actually I dont think you should be forced to eat rotten eggs. I think you should be TOLD you are about to eat rotten eggs then you should be taken to a dark corner and you should be shot.
I love how you neglect to respond to my post...

Felton, like Jack is a PASS FIRST PG for UNC. Like all you other Techies are saying, it's not his job to score, he just lead UNC to a blowout win over the #2 team in the country. I can't wait to see Billet take on Jack, it will be mighty fun to watch Billet raining threes in Jack's eyes.

GTS, still waiting for where Jarrett Jack is on that list...

All the "proffessionals" agree that Jack is a freshman, who is barely top 50. In the talent rich ACC, that is mediocre, AT BEST.

I don't know if you intended to bust your Techie friend desigundah, but you certainly did.

Felton and Dock BOTH higher than Jack, and I don't even like that site at all.

Now, allow me to objectively rank the ACC starting PGs.

Blake
Duhon
Scott (Clemson)
Hodge
Felton
Billet
Jack
Wake PG
FSU PG

If I was you, I would be satisfied with mediocre.

Oh, and GTS, that site blows.

McCants at 21???

No Redick??? 03-confused

No Michael Thompson???

Andre Iguodala top ten???

Who the hell is Christian Drejer?

Who is Denham Brown?

Keith Butler at 11???

That site is almost as bad as ESPN recruiting

and that is saying a lot.

I didn't bust him. Jack has been rising on that list for some time, and at his current rate he will pass Felton and Dock in a few games.

He has far better vision, ball handling skills, and conditioning than those two.

Also funny how you ranked the ACC PG's without even knowing who some of the people were.

Real bang-up job there Dookie.

LMFAO!

Jack has better handles than Dockery and Felton????             If anything, Jack is a better scorer than Dock (which he probably is).

I don't know who starts PG for Wake and FSU, so I didn't rank them higher than Jack. duh, I wouldn't be complaining, because I'm sure LK and BPD could explain to you how Trent Strickland or Justin Gray are better than Jack.

Oh, and another thing, if Jack is so good, then why didn't Coach K recruit him, even though Jack wanted Duke to recruit him? 03-confused

Wait, I have an answer, because Dockery is better!

1st off - Coach K recruiting somebody is a piss poor definition of being good. You can't recruit every. Wonder how many first rounders in last year's draft weren't recruited by Coach K. Betcha it was in excess of 75%. Not to mention the fact that Coach K is not god, and rat face is wrong quite a few times himself.

2nd - the "Jack wanted Duke to recruit him" has fairy tale rumor written all over it. Bet that only comes from the fact that his hometown is Durham, and he is a cousin of Duhon. Dookies and their crazy rumors these days. Show some proof.

"Jarrett Jack
Birthdate: 10/28/83
NBA Position: Point Guard
College: Georgia Tech
Class: Freshman
Ht: 6-3
Wt: 198
Hometown: Durham, NC
High School: Worcester Academy

Strengths: Jack is one of the most underrated players in his class. He has unmatched court vision. He loves to run and gun. At 6-3, Jack stands above most of the point guards. [b]And his body is already mature. Don

You'd think Duke would shut up about how even their second team is so great after Davidson handled everybody on the Dook sideline for a good 18 minutes.

Once again, using who Coach K did or didn't recruit as a talent standard is absurd.

After watching hooks and layups Davidson executed fairly easily on the inside all day, I will enjoy watching Bosh and Schenscher go to town.

haha, was that supposed to be a joke? I can't wait to watch Shav use Schensheir like Duke has used GT over the past 5 years.

I'm still waiting to find out who Jack is better than. 03-confused 03-confused

This reminds me of how guys like Tony Akins and Drew Barry got dissed because they weren't "big time ACC material" or recruited by the big boys. Seems to me that they ended up just fine.

As long as Jack doesn't get caught up in his numbers (he shouldn't have spectacular numbers - that's not his job right now), he'll be just fine.

Hmmm, how did Tony Akins do his freshman year?

He was a wild shooter. He averaged 11.3 ppg and 4.8 apg. He tried to run the whole show it took him a couple years to mature. Jack seems to already have that mentality. Like Dan Bonner said during the game last night, "this kid plays and is built like a junior."

Redickand Dockery are just other Dukies....

I'll admit you have pretty good depth, but none of them are just shiny bright stars like Battier and JayWilly

When ACC time comes, you won't see very much of either Redick or Dockery...

You'll see this:

Duhon
Ewing
Jones
Williams
Randolph

Redick might get somewhere around 15 minutes a game

When your guys get enough PT to compare to Jack you can come back to compare stats

From now on Dukie, im gonna let the scoreboard do the talking...can't wait to see your posts on 1/25

Jonesy........I am convinced you have never seen Jarrett Jack play, EVER. In fact, I am CONVINCED that you probably even havent seen what he looks like. You have no clue who he is or how good he is. Your simply a fool who likes to run his mouth and you like to get pissed upon in conversation. To be honest, I havent seen Jack much outside of the game vs. UGA but watching him proved a lot. Freshman dont come out and have games like that against veteran, defensive minded PG's like Rashad Wright. Jack carried the team in this first half and was crutial to the victory. I think you should just shutup and save your face because you are looking foolish and you are losing your credibility for the future. Why dont you just admit Jack is better than you want him to be?

I saw Jack play against UGA, and I thought he was a bit better than I thought he was, but he still didn't show me much. The only people on GT who I was wowed by were BJ Elder (WHAT A STROKE!) and Bosh, who will make ALL ACC Rookie Team.

JJ, I really hope you are kidding about Ed Scott. Last season, he was 3rd in the NCAA in assists (most of the season), with little talent around him.

Dude, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Redick will get plenty of time during ACC season. Look up the stats, Redick practically SPLITS time with Ewing.

BTW, nice 2/4 Assist/Turnover ratio Jarrett Jack had.
