Gave up only 4 runs all weekend for the sweep in Dodger Stadium or whatever they call it now.
HerdFan4Life--team is holding together decently in a very tough division. Need Kearns back, Casey will be back on Tuesday and Griffey is healthy. More importantly, we are getting some surprisingly good starting pitching.

I am very happy with Griffey's production and the Reds as a team for that matter

the Reds got by the past three games with some phenomenal pitching from their rotation and the bullpen (can you believe Danny Graves picked up 3 saves in as many games?). i guess they also got some much needed timely hitting, or just enough to score more runs than the opposition, but their offense is still a bit suspect at this point, especially without Casey, Kearns, and Larson in the line up.

go Reds!

I went to see them last homestand, but the Giants beat them in 10 innings.

From what I've read, Kearns will be back tomorrow (Tuesday) but I imagine he will be shipped off to get some AAA games under his belt. Ryan Freel played good while Kearns was out but he will likely be demoted when Austin returns to Cincy.

I am also pleasantly surprised by the pitching. Paul Wilson is pitching like he was supposed to years ago when he was listed as an up and coming phenom. Adam Harang is throwing bb's and Lidle and Acevedo are steady. The bullpen is awesome right now. Graves (makes a much better releiver) is leading the majors (I think) in saves, so that allows Ryan Wagner to be groomed for the job without feeling all the pressure that comes with being the #1 closer.

GO REDS!!!

this post makes no sense. First off griffey is not young as others have already said, also why would he take a year off if hes not hurt, hes good in case you haven't noticed. Do you want a healthy guy getting paid tens of millions of dollars and a fan favorite to sit on the bench b/c he MIGHT get hurt?

His first fake ID. 03-razz

Seriously, I think I saw a post of his stating he had just turned 14....could be wrong.

Reds: Kearns activated

by Fanball Staff - Fanball.com
Wednesday, May 19, 2004

News
The Reds activated outfielder Austin Kearns on Wednesday. Kearns broke a bone in his left forearm April 26 and recently spent eight games rehabbing at Triple-A Louisville. The Reds sent utility man Jason Romano to Louisville to clear a roster spot.

Views
We expect Kearns to be back in the lineup on Wednesday night, and Reds' fans will get a rare sight of an outfield consisting of Kearns, Adam Dunn, and Ken Griffey. Austin hit well in his rehab assignment, so fantasy owners can feel free to activate him right away.

how about Paul Wilson running his record to 6-0 04-rock
pretty impressive, eh?

and to add to that, the last place team currently in NL Central, the Pirates, are only 2 games under .500!!! who would have thought the NL West would have 3 teams inheriting that bad records at this quarter turn of the season?

Won't happen, but Wilson is a great story. Didn't he blow out his arm a few years back?
