Every time I hear some lib say "we've created more terrorists" I have to laugh. These people are sinking so fast in the quicksand of their own pathetic ideology, they fail to see the obvious:

We WANTED the terrorists to come out of the woodwork. The angrier they are, the more active they are, the more visible and susceptible to capture or being killed they are.

When you want to find snakes, do you stand really still? Or do you beat the grass to stir them up?

Oh, yeah - 2/3 of Al Qaeda's leadership captured, their infastructure in shambles (according to the Senate Intelligence Report).

I will say this, and a rational Dem I work with agreed: the politics of fear and being blamed are the reason why we get all these terror "threats" from Homeland Security. If they don't warn us about every little thing, and something happens, then they get blamed for not warning us. Their solution is to blanket warnings over everything. If we'd get out the business of blaming people every time something went wrong, we'd be much better off.

Yup. See it all the time. Failures at NASA are prime targets.

There is an underlying utopian philosophy that is at the base of many current political philosophies. It was the root of communism, socialism, liberalism and honestly materialism. Most of those are on the left, and leftists fiercly cling to that notion of "utopia".
Moreover the media play that up. It sells papers.

Ironically, it is not the philosophy that the US was founded on.

And while they make great targets for liberals, it is not a philosophy that is consistent w/ conservative Christianity.

Curiously, when you leave the confines of the peaceful Mediterranean (where European thought w/ both the Greeks and the renaissance started) it is not the prevailing philosophy. For example the Japanese don't subscribe to that notion. Which explains their success on a global scale. (Kudos to a BG education)
