Nobody wins this discussion. Vietnam is an open wound. A terrible and horrible chapter in our nation's history. I promise you the right will lose this election if they try to taint Kerry's service. It's disgusting.

Dogger, I agree that this discussion is not worth having. I think the ONLY reason it continues is Kerry insists on considering himself a war hero. In the very beginning of the entire process Kerry indicated he did not want to use the war stuff as a campaign point. Then they attack Bush's record, Bush responds.......it escalates. I really do not care what happened in Viet Nam with Kerry. I do care if he uses it in an untruthful manner. I also care that Bush is not being forthcoming about his situation. It is the same ol same ol.

No, this issue should be addressed.

Since John Kerry mentions his Vietnam service every 2 minutes, then it definitly should be an issue.

Like it or not, there is a large group of men that claim John Kerry was a fraud on the battle field.

Please. Think about this. 3 purple hearts in 4 months? Patton didn't even come near that mark in his service.

And how exactly was is that John Kerry seemed to always have a camera in Vietnam when nobody else did? Who carries a camera on the battlefield?

But, like Dogger said, I'm sure these men are lying, and John Kerry is simply the perfect little war hero that he says he is.

BTW, Dogger. This is the not the "Right". These are Vietnam Veterans promoting the truth about John Kerry.

Unlike the left, the right will not whore this book around on their campaign tour, inviting all of these men to their dinners and functions.

And yes, I am talking about how the left puppets around Michael Moore for his and their own leftist political gain.

My father has great photos of some bitchin' Vietnam firefights -- taken from a respectful distance.

He was Air Force and took a camera on his chopper frequently. It seems to me a Swift Boat would have room for a Super 8.

If he was sooooo against it, why did he photogragh it and bring it back up 30+ years later? ....if NOT for political gain, I mean......

If John Kerry was nothing but an automaton thinking ahead to political gain, he wouldn't have thrown away his medals.

That act, and others, helped Kerry lose his first two Congressional races. They didn't sit well with working-class Boston.

HE NEVER DID THROW AWAY HIS MEDALS.

That's just another piece of the Vietnam Kerry lie.

He "threw" his ribbons away to create a false ideology of his "morals", which were really just a tool to gain his own political power.

Schad, like Knight said, he threw his ribbons over. The Medals he threw belonged to someone else. His medals were at his home....probably on display.

He's a fraud. I wouldn't have had this kind of problem had you guys nominated Dean. Kerry's a fraud and Edwards is a POS ambulance-chaser. At least Dean STOOD for something. <---that is a true statement by me. Honestly, I don't think I could have EVER come up with the ammo that I have on these two with Dean. The DNC screwed up royally.

I can't think of anything in more horrible taste. Are they really suggesting that the effort to defeat Kerry should be compared to the holy terror of mad men like Osama bin Laden?
No, they are not. Typical Schadenfreude. You know, if you had clicked the "Join The Jihad" link once, just once, instead of feigning indignation you would have saved yourself from looking even more foolish and/or ignorant.
