The Pope is visiting Washington, DC, and President Bush takes him out for an afternoon on the Potomac, sailing on the Presidential yacht, the Sequoia.
They're admiring the sights when all of a sudden, the Pope's Zucchetto (hat) blows off his head and out onto the water. Secret Service guys start to launch a boat but President Bush waves them off saying "Wait, wait, I'll take care of this, don't worry."

President Bush then steps off the yacht onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Holy Father's little hat, bends over, picks it up, then walks back to the yacht and climbs aboard. He hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.

The next day, Dan Rather of CBS News reports:

"BUSH CAN'T SWIM"

NEW YORK Jeff Gannon, the controversial White House correspondent for the obscure, conservative Web site Talon News who resigned from his job Tuesday, confirmed late Wednesday, in a phone interview with National Public Radio, that he has been using a false name. A few hours later, Howard Kurtz, writing in The Washington Post, confirmed earlier tips, arising from liberal blogs, that the reporter's real name is indeed James D. Guckert.

Adding another twist, NPR's David Folkenflik, in his report Wednesday night, referred to revelations arising from liberal blogs earlier in the day, connecting Gannon to sexual Web sites such as HotMilitaryStud.com, among others.

"The bloggers," Kurtz writes today, "also have linked to a since-withdrawn America Online photo of a man who appears to be Gannon, posing in his underwear, with a screen name bearing the initials 'JDG.'"

Bill is a putz, and he is not a conservative. He is more of an instigator of stupidity.

I actually saw O'Reilly last week.

In all honesty, he is quite a muckraker...I suspect many journalists are a bit envious.

However, he is also a self-righteous, pompous jerk, who won't let a topic go even when he's gotten his way.

Open-Minded he is not. Ever hear of the O'Reilly-Boortz feud?
