BAGHDAD, Iraq, Feb. 12 - A suicide car bomber killed at least 17 Iraqis at the entrance of a hospital south of Baghdad, and a judge who had investigated crimes in Saddam Hussein's government was gunned down outside his home in Basra by masked men riding a motorcycle, as Iraq's insurgency continued to intensify since elections two weeks ago.

From Monday to Saturday, bombers and gunmen have left at least 104 people dead. The attacks have been at or near a Shiite mosque, a hospital, police facilities, a bakery in a Shiite neighborhood and in front of Iraqis' houses.

I'm guessing the point of your post is to pee on the happiness and hopefulness that many felt about the recent elections, but I don't think:

Iraqi Resolution #279: This resolution will require all those violently opposed to the newly created Democratic Republic of Iraq to leave the country.

was on the ballot.

The bad guys wouldn't have abided by it anyway. Opposing authority one of the requirements of being a bad guy.

No, the point of his post was to illustrate his joy that such things are happening. See as long as these things happen he feels like his views are correct.

Liberals like SF want defeat in Iraq. They'd rather be able to have that validation and that issue than a free/peaceful Iraq.

Liberals like SF want issues, not progress.

Hence, the use of the screen name "Schadenfreude"...................

"Perverse joy in the misery and misfortune of others."

Listen to Air America sometime........

It is full of "Schadenfreude"......................or full of something very similar.
