So what do Democrats do when they are in charge in a successful county? Why they spread their oppression...

Quote:FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Fairfax County planners want the people who live and work in MetroWest to consider living without their cars. That's among the proposals being floated for development of land near the Metrorail system's Vienna station. The Orange line terminus could become the site of more than 22 hundred townhouses and condominiums nestled among stores and office buildings.

The Washington Post reports that planners want Pulte Homes to come up with a way to cut car trips for its 13 residential and commercial towers by 50 percent. Thee company could face fines if the goals aren't met.

The Post reports that Fairfax Board of Supervisors could consider forcing Pulte to downsize the project when it considers developer's rezoning application this fall.

Never mind that DC's Metro can't handle its current capacity...
Never mind that not _every_ trip can be handled by Metro, and people need a car to go some places
Never mind that market forces tend to handle these issues
Never mind that everyone else in the county can drive...the Dems need to rein in these new folks, flex some muscle.

Local politicians are quite different from national ones. I for one can't stand most of the democrats in my town.
