MACON, Ga.- Mercer men’s basketball forward Will Emerson has been named Atlantic Sun Male Student-Athlete-of-The-Year, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

The native of St. Mary’s, Ga. started all 28 games last season for the Bears, leading the team in scoring (15.6 ppg) and rebounding (7.5 rpg). He was named to ESPN the Magazine's Academic All-America first team, the day after he was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Conference first team.
